Midwest Center for Dermatology

Midwest Dermatology provided excellent clinical care, but their billing practices raise serious concerns and may even border on fraudulent. I had an appointment on August 28, 2023, and received an Explanation of Benefits from my insurance on September 6, 2023, indicating I owed $173.28. Shortly after, Midwest Dermatology emailed me an invoice for that exact amount, which I paid in full on September 15, 2023. However, on December 4, 2024, I received an additional bill for $43.45. It turns out Midwest Dermatology refiled my claim in 2024 under new insurer contract rates, resulting in this extra charge. In short: I received care in August 2023, fully paid for it in September 2023, and over a year later, Midwest Dermatology and the insurer recalculated the claim against their 2024 contractual rates and demanded more money. I'll let you draw your own conclusions, but I strongly suggest seeking care elsewhere.

They don't return calls and the parking lot is bad. Subpar.

Didn’t wait too long maybe 10 to 15 minutes. Doctor and staff very friendly and knowledgeable.

This place is a joke, long wait time, Dr's are rushed, I asked them to send my specimens to McLaren, they said they would but didnt, they sent them somewhere my insurance didn't cover and I was stuck paying 900 put of pocket.

Always polite, waits times acceptable. No complaints
