Douglas J Salon & Medspa in Okemos

I have been regularly seeing Autumn F. for haircuts for over a year now, and she is fabulous! I have never been dissatisfied with any of my haircuts. I especially appreciate the way she cuts my wavy hair so it’s flattering blown out or worn naturally. Her scalp massages are A+. I personally love that I can comfortably yap OR have a more quiet (but not awkward feeling) appointment.

My daughter and I have both been having our hair cut by Autumn F for the past two years. She is the absolute best. She is personable and friendly and always makes us look great. Autumn has also suggested some great products and has helped me so much with getting my hair back to being healthy. We always leave as happy customers!

My wife is wheel chair bound and is in an elder care facility. I found the parking to be great. The new ramps were cleared of snow and ice. The doors had automatic openers. The elevator was easy to access and had room to move turn around on both floors. The staff was very understanding and courteous of the issues, but never acknowledged the issues. I.e. they treated her like everyone else. Complete pros! Everything was a great experience. My wife’s scalp is not in great shape. The colorist did her best washing her hair. It was nasty work, but she didn’t hesitate doing the job. I’m wife has had a boost in positive feeling and I feel I’ve created a positive experience by going to Douglas J. My wife and I had a great experience.

My experience at Douglas J has been fantastic and the staff keeps me coming back. I have my haircut and styled by Autumn Freeman and she’s Amazing. The cut is precise and she cuts it in a way that it just lays perfectly! She handles my thick hair with ease and not everyone can do that. I also have my hair colored by Ciera Blakely . She has the best eye for my color and it turns out beautiful, every time. She does so well with my stubborn grays . Keeping my hair looking fresh and bright! I would absolutely recommend these hardworking ladies!

My experiences at Douglas J have been phenomenal for the past 6 years. Autumn F has spoiled me with amazing hair cuts and advice as I overcame damage from highlights (at a different salon). Spending time in her chair always comes with laughs and the best head massage! Also, I’ve recently started working with Craig on my eyebrows. They’d been over waxed a couple years ago and I’ve been on a journey to grow them back out. Craig has provided advice during our waxing, tinting, and lamination appointments. I can’t recommend this salon enough!!
