Cosmetic Dermatology and Vein Center - Riverview

My overall experience was great. The office was super clean, the front desk women were very courteous on all my 3 visits. On my first visit I was seen by the PA (I forgot her name) and she was just amazing at explaining everything to me in great detail and all my options. The Dr. is just straight forward and I appreciate that so much. Made me feel at ease and also gave me many options on how to handle my issues, I found him to be very caring. Every single nurse that I saw in all 3 visits were also very patient and kind. I am recommending this Dr and office to all my family and friends. I don’t usually write reviews unless I’m super satisfied or extremely disappointed.

Hard to say if doctor is good, as it's damn near impossible to schedule an appt? Between the very limited hours you're able to actually reach them, and the extremely poor communications, this is exceedingly difficult. Had an appt scheduled, which they canceled, unbeknownst to myself? They also failed to contact me, to reschedule said appt? When I called, they THEN clarifyied my phone #, which was nothing close to my actual digits? How, and why, does this happen?

Do Not Go There Or Take AnyOne There~ They Openly Admit They Won’t Get Pre~Approvals from your insurance company, but don’t tell you until after they perform procedures on you & probably have put countless unsuspecting elderly patients into foreclosure with their bills & their practices. They don’t tell you that they don’t get pre approvals until after the Procedure Is Done & Billed!!!!! The receptionist- Heather did not get a pre approval for my procedures, then billed me & Argued with me that it was my responsibility to pay for the Entire Procedure!!!!!. She Even Went As Far to request my insurance policy & Lie to no end, acting as if she understood it, telling me I owed the bill, when I ONLY owed it because she didn’t get the pre~approval. I’m A Nurse & An Educated Woman… I can’t even imagine how she manipulates her understanding of the unsuspecting elderly’s policies🥺… & Then.. Heather Refused to Help Me Appeal🤯🤯🤯🤯.. after I did it myself & she didn’t submit the clinical documentation when requested, then she wouldn’t help me with the appeal @ all after it was denied, as a result of her not submitting the clinical documentation🤯🤯🤯🤯. I Truly Hope She Is Fired Today~Before Elderly OR Anyone Can Be Affected By Her Practices🥲. I would like her replacement to give a me call, so we can get this appeal resolved 😁. I will be Desperately Waiting For Dr. Friedman to fix this~ He Is A Great Doctor🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩. I’m Hoping Someone Will Contact Me~ So, we can complete my appeal & I can take this Very True review down. He actually walked up to the counter & asked her to resolve this months ago & she has done nothing, but failed to do so. The last conversation I had with Heather on 10/2/2024; she stated that my PCP should have obtained the pre~approval for my procedures~Even though I am an established patient @ her office. That Is Not Only UnHeard Of In the Medical Industry~ it may even be fraud~as my PCP would not be performing the procedures. This Is Terrifying For All Patients!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I do have a call into a billing company that I believe you are associated with.. & intend to follow up with them. so, I’m Hoping for Some common decency to clear up these skin cancer procedure bills that are Covered under my health insurance through the appeal process. I Truly Hope this issue can be resolved without me reporting this office to the BBB and agencies that protect patients rights!.. it may be a moral/ethical obligation either way. I’m so confused why Heather has done this & Beyond Concerned about who/how she is affecting the innocent/unsuspecting patients of that office. Update: Following an appeal completed by me with my primary care provider requesting & submitting the records from this office.. My Bill Was Paid In Full By My Insurance Company. I hope this Never Happens to Anyone Again😔

This guy deserves 0 stars! I went to his office once and that was one time too many. Due to my condition, I was in tears when he finally came in the room and said " what's your problem " he complained the entire time I was there about my insurance or lack of. Zero empathy or sympathy as I sat there and cried. Horrible bedside manner. A woman from behind the counter yelled out to another patient " have you see so and so lately? I can't believe he's still alive!" She used the man's full name . I knew him. He passed away a couople months later. Very sad

Dr. Friedman found skin cancer on my chest and had to remove it. He did so in his office and showed the greatest concern for how I would scar. The results were wonderful. I can’t say I’ve ever had better results with a surgery. The procedure was done about 5 months ago and I am proud to say that I am virtually scar free. Dr. Friedman and all his staff are wonderful people to interact with. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
