Relieved to find my “concerning mole” this morning isn’t malignant. The medical assistant was extremely nice. But I feel the need to note that the PA Rachel unnecessarily snapped at me and I’m still sitting here trying to figure out why. My primary care office had to send a referral so I can be seen by this office as they’re only accepting patients that way. I was told it would be based on today’s appointment whether they will keep me as a patient or not. So when she said I should come back in for a mole check since I’m now an established patient, I said “so you guys are willing to keep me?” Her reply was quick and stern in tone: “I JUST said you are an established patient here.” Then she had the nerve to ask “why do you still look nervous?” Well you just snapped at me lady. It wasn’t even 10am. I wasn’t ready for that. As an abuse survivor with C-PTSD, I’m trying to figure out if I did something to instigate that. I don’t think I did. Not sure if I’ll come back after that experience.

I felt as though I was getting fat shamed and when I made a point that this is a one off thing the doctor went on the defensive and then made it a generalized "women's issue". Yeah using the terms folds before was a dead give away she was indicating it was a weight thing, because I have bad rolls on my mid section when I sit due to high hips and a very small trunk. Where the cyst is normal is not in a "fold" Because it goes away when I stand.

My son who has autism had to have multiple warts on his hands and feet treated. The staff was so friendly, patient and supportive. I highly recommend this location, especially if you have children who need treatment.

Very welcoming and prompt. Really like Rachel. Very comfortable to be around when almost naked. Very professional and knowledgeable. Your staff gives me a level of confidence that I can continue to maintain my lifestyle. Only negative. You need to get bigger cover ups. The ones you have are basically useless.

I truly felt welcomed and sincerely cared for. I saw Dr. Ang, who I had a procedure with six months ago, Stacey Olivier, PA-C today, along with each of their assistants. Everyone of them was informative about my issues, answered questions and educated me far beyond the answer I needed. A very kind and trusting environment all the way from the front desk to check out. A great experience in today’s health care world where you can just feel like a “number”. Thank you West Michigan Dermatology!
