After a two hour wait, I asked the reception area workers when my appointment might be? I wasn't answered, but one of them handed me a phone book and asked if I wanted to make an appointment with a different Doctor. I just went & sat down to wait. Told Doc about it, he didn't apologize, had attitude. When he first began is practice in the current location, he was more timely and polite. If a doc doesn't have enough respect for patients I don't trust the care provided.

Dr. O'Donnell himself is a great doctor. I have been using him for many years for myself and then for my children. I know several people who also go there. HOWEVER, his front desk/office staff is the rudest staff I have ever dealt with at any physician. You always are rushed off the phone and they treat you as if you are a complete inconvenience. They make no attempt to schedule around your work schedule or children's school/sports schedules. They act as if you should just count your blessings that the doctor will even see you. Considering that you are always waiting between 1-3 hours AFTER your appointment time, they should go out of their way to be courteous to you since you have already been grossly inconvenienced. The Doctor however does not rush you and is very knowledgeable and professional. The medical assistants are also great, it really is just his front desk staff that needs to learn what customer service is and be far more cordial to patients. Countless times I have thought about finding a different doctor because of the poor customer service by them but have just never wanted to start over with one.

Moved to the area and was happy to find a dermatologist to treat my needs (regular yearly checkups, skin conditions, and medical issues I have) however very disappointed with this doctor and staff. They had no issues with being aggressive in the treatment and removals of moles on my back (and the billing of it), but when it came to filling my prescription for a skin condition they requested I contact their office every time to fill my medication, vs just providing a regular prescription like every other dermatologist I I’ve had over the last 10 years. Upon expressing my disappointment with the front end staff, I was told it was likened to insurance fraud to provide extended prescriptions and they needed me to call it in every time (which equates to me calling them 4-5x a year to refill it). Keep in mind this is a basic prescription, not a controlled substance or opioid. It feels like billing is maximized here with little care or empathy for the patient experience. Which is unfortunate because I would like a consistent level of care and continuity, but I can’t deal with a front end staff that levies terminology like insurance fraud when you are asking for a reasonable prescription consistent with common practice. I’ll be making my experiences known on multiple review sites.

The staff are nice enough... but when the establishment has only been open for an hour and a half and is over an hour behind schedule, you have a problem. Edit: Dr does not care about making you wait either. When brought up that I was waiting over an hour after my scheduled appointment to see him, he simply stated that there are plenty of people willing to wait for him. Never even apologized. Dr's attitude is what is causing a 1 star review. I understand that appointments sometimes take longer than expected but that's why you put time in between appointments to give you that buffer. It seems to me that they schedule appointments back to back so Dr can make as much money as possible. There was a couple sitting next to me that where scheduled for a 9:30am appointment and were not seen until about 10:30am. This place opens at 8:30am..how are they an hour behind after only an hour of being open??? There are too many clients and only one Dr. Even the nursing staff was embarrassed by how disrespectful Dr is of patients time. This seems to be a common problem. If I were you I would go somewhere where your time is valued or expect to wait an hour or so from your scheduled appointment.

Dr. O’Donnell and his staff were very professional. I called for an appt regarding a concern I had and was given an appointment the very next day. I was a bit nervous going in but Dr. O’Donnell was very reassuring and made me feel at ease. Thank you to Dr. And the staff, I highly recommend!!
