Dermatology Specialists of Shelby

I have annual skin checks, and in the past, I visited a different dermatologist in the Shelby Township area. Their approach was rather quick, offering only a cursory examination of my arms, legs, chest, and back. However, my experience with Andrea Rosik, PA-C, was truly exceptional. She was incredibly thorough and detail-oriented, meticulously examining every area and diligently measuring and recording everything. Her wonderful bedside manner and clear, thoughtful responses to all my questions made it one of the best medical experiences I’ve ever had. I truly appreciated her care and attention.

Excellent medical and office staff. Don’t waste time attempting to schedule online. Call and speak with a real person (no AI).

Dr. Matto was great, but the issue was that I was there to have Mohs surgery done. I had to be cut twice to get all the cancer out. Each time, I had to wait 2 1/2 hours to get the results back. Many people I have talked to that had the same surgery down at other doctors' offices said they got their results back in 1/2 hr. Also, if you google how long it should take, they say 20-45 minutes. I also feel that because I had to wait so long between being seen, it may have added to the amount of shots I had to be given in my face to numb it again. I firmly believe they try to treat too many people in a day that causes all their patients to suffer.

I don’t know if all the doctors are as cold and unkind as Dr Fontana but thankfully she’s just a Dermatologist. If you’re a senior and have any issues, do not go to her. I gave this doctor my history the first time and the several times I went after she treated me horribly. No patience with my balance disorder and memory issues. I was doing my best. The first couple times I thought maybe she was having a bad day . She accused me of damaging my own finger nail and wouldn’t listen. When tried to talk to her she snapped at me so I shut up. I’d be the first to admit I could have a nervous habit of picking at my nail but I was not. My family doctor looked at it and said it looks like hurt it and she knows and understands that I forget things. . I’m happy to say it’s half way grown out and my new nail looks fine. I have been forgetting a lot since I recently loss my husband of 45 years. It seems like med school or this doctors mother should have taught her not to judge people because you never know what they may be going through. I worked in the medical field and now after meeting this doctor, I’m proud of how I treated people.

I hope my review steers you away from Dr. Yaldo. She was the first available physician, which now makes perfect sense as she has no people skills, hence why I even saw her in the first place. Her bedside manner was awful. I left with tears in my eyes feeling awful about myself after my very first appointment with her. She was speeding through the appointment, she had no manners, she was very direct, and did not have any sympathy for what people with acne feel like physically and emotionally. I’ve never been to a doctor who made me feel bad about myself. I will never see her again and I hope no one has to either. If you decide to attend this office, see another physician.
