ProSkin Esthetics & Laser - Bloomington

My recommendation is to stay away from this location. If you do by chance go here do not book with Katie. You’ll find out very fast that she can be really rude. She can come into work with an attitude. She’s not about the customer and she lies. At the beginning of my sessions for face, she told me it may take a couple more than the six sessions that I purchased, but by no means did she mention that it would take 12 to 15 sessions to get my face hair gone. The last session that I came in I noticed some new hair growth. She told me that I should wait till next session to see if more hair grew so that we could grab it all at one time and I did that. I noticed a lot more hair. I took a couple pictures when I came in today. I immediately noticed that she had a bad attitude. She seemed down. She wasn’t pleasant or friendly. I acknowledged that I showed up at 10:04 and my appointment was at 10 o’clock however, I don’t think that’s a reason to be rude to a client and to refuse her service. I feel like Proskin isn’t upfront about how much it will take for you to get the laser. I wish I would’ve took my suggestion and went to another laser hair removal moving forward. I’m done doing business with Katie and after I finish my package, I will be leaving to another location. . I tried to speak with a manager and none was there this week. Overall, I think Katie has poor taste, and I don’t recommend her to anyone. If a company and their employees cannot have a simple conversation with their clients/customers then it really isn’t a place people should be spending their money. It isn’t cheap. I would like a manager to reach out to me so I could file my complaint personally. And Katie if you see this do better and fix that attitude. It won’t get you far and it certainly won’t get you paid.

I found ProSkin Laser in Bloomington through a Groupon deal, and it's been such a great find! The prices are already affordable, and they offer even more discounts during seasonal sales. I noticed results right from my first session, which was amazing! Laser treatments can be a bit painful, but Amy is fantastic at making the experience as comfortable as possible. She’s attentive, professional, and makes sure you're happy with the results. Highly recommend if you're looking for effective laser treatments at a great value.

So it was going okay, they had to use a lower setting because of one of my medications. But the hair would be gone for a while. This last time I went they used a new technology & it didn’t feel like the tech was getting close enough to my skin. the hair grew back in the front of my legs right away long & black. This was my 6th section. I’m also really pissed off because they charged me a $50 same day cancel fee & they never told me they charged that or i would have left a voicemail over the weekend. I also called right when they opened at 10am. i almost walked out & i should of because it would of saved me $70 because of the $20 tip when I didn’t know how bad of a job the tech did with the new technology & the same day cancel fee. I understand that some people need more sessions, but it should of lasted more than a week after.

They did a bait and switch on the laser, The initial laser they used me, it worked but not as well as the other place I was trying out. They Switched up the laser for one of the appointments said, they said it saved them time and I was sure, let’s try it. It did not work at all. I told him the new laser did not have the same effects and not to use that on me again (Zero reduction hair growth). I asked that they put it in my file not to use that particular laser again as it does not work on me. I get it, things happen, and I did not expect a refund or redo for that one wasted session. The issue occurs when after multiple sessions with the normal laser, they then used that ineffective effect laser again without telling me and I didn’t realize it until the session ended early and they refuse to refund me or redo the treatment. They made a mistake and refused to correct it. Also tipping in a medical setting is very unethical. Employees there are very hit and miss as well. The results compared to the place in Edina that I tried was also substantially Lower quality, but that might be because two of my sessions were done with an ineffective laser.

I have been doing treatments to my lower leg, armpit, upper lip/chin for about a year. The staff is alwaus super friendly and helpful if I have questions. The rooms are always very clean and comfortable. I am also extremely happy with my results, and plan to purchase additional packages to start servicing other areas. Highly recommend!
