I went to Center for Dermatology back in the summer of 2022. I first met with a PA who did not know what my condition was. He just told me to get Hibiclens. Told him I've done that before and it doesn't help, he told me to try it again. I then asked him what we need to do to find out what my issue was, he stated we would need to take a biopsy. I then asked him if we could do it now as that is why I came in, he did it. Why am I telling him what we need to do? That should have been my first red flag. He told me to go to a colorectal surgeon, there she told me what my condition was. Went back to this Dermatology center and met with another lady. I asked her to cut open two cysts that I had, I also had other sores from HS so she told me I was wrong and that they are not chasing my HS sores. I again explained that these were not the HS sores and were cysts. She just stated we would have to agree to disagree. I then asked her about surgery, she said they would not do it, they didn't have time. Never heard a Dr. office say that. All she wanted to do was just inject my sores to keep them down. I then asked her about laser procedure. She just said we will have to agree to disagree. What? I asked you a question on your thoughts and that is your answer? What kind of medical professional are you? So I went to the Mayo clinic. They helped me, I did the surgery, it sucked but I have been sore free for a year now. This place could have treated me with several treatments but they refused. This place doesn't even ask you questions to figure out your problem. Like the cyst explained above, yes, in surgery they found that yes, they were cysts and should have been cut open a long time ago. I would expect medical professionals to ask questions and help you instead of dismissing you and just wanting you to keep returning to get your cash. I would not go to this place. I am told they do a lot of skin cancer, I would go somewhere else. This place does not care about you, they will find ways to just keep you coming back. Always get a second or even third opinion. I would still be suffering with my HS if I didn't seek other help when this place clearly was telling me they didn't want to help me, had no intentions of helping me and didn't have time to help me

So far so good. Only down side is wait time for appointments... Very busy because they are very good.

Dr. Zabel and his colleagues are always respectful. I never feel like I am standing there naked for the world to see. They ask me questions about any skin issues that I may have concerns about as well as checking areas that have high sun exposure like my face and arms. I have had one negative biopsy. Three of my sisters have had skin cancers, one quite serious. Dr. Zabel is thorough and asks me to return if I have any concerns before my next annual skin review. I did go back this year as I had a skin lesion on my face that was not healing after eight months. I received an ointment that healed the lesion within ten days much to my relief. I was again advised to return if I didn’t have positive results within two weeks. I never felt I was a bother to them or an unimportant patient. They take concerns seriously.

Having been under the care of Dr. Zabel For a number of years, I have come to rely on his expertise in my battle with skin cancer. I can tell you I get absolutely the best care possible. From the moment I walk in his office till I walk out I am treated as if I am the most important person there. He has the time to talk to me and explain my treatment options Giving me the opportunity to choose the best course of action for my long-term health.
