I had a platysmaplasty and submental liposuction last Friday, and everything went smoothly. I’ve struggled with a double chin my entire life and tried everything—even Kybella—until surgery became my only remaining option. I was terrified and uncertain if I really wanted to go through with it. I scheduled a consultation to explore options for addressing my "turkey neck," and before I knew it, I was surrounded by incredibly kind and professional people. Their support and expertise gave me the confidence to take the leap. Dr. Brantley is incredibly professional and kind, and I’m so excited to see how my chin heals. A HUGE thank you to Mila (who’s been following me since the day I came to the clinic and who kindly checked on me this morning), Lindsay, Rachael, Kayla, Dr. Bruner, Mackenzie, and Kelli. They truly make up the best surgical team anyone could ask for—especially when waking up from general anesthesia! I was suppose to have a tummy tuck and liposuction of my lower and upper abdomen,flanks and back fat with Dr. Smith. This was in 2021 for my 50th birthday. It was suppose to be my dream come true, instead it became a living nightmare. It was a horrible experience from the first moment I saw myself after removing the binder even to this very day. I still have a lot of upper belly fat, back fat and the left side of lower abdomen hangs over some. This area is where my stitching had separated some but he said that it was ok and it would heal. Well it did heal but it didn't heal properly. ALL of my concerns that I brought to his attention and asked about he would ALWAYS say give it time give it time. Here we are years later and it's still the same. My left side is still bigger than my right, very noticeable, which my left side was always bigger than my right side from the beginning and the surgeon knew this so why he says he took the same amount from both sides is questionable. Wouldn't you take more from the left if it's bigger than right? My incision looks like he was on a rollercoaster ride. Very crooked and Choppy. Somehow he created a fat pocket on my right side which wasn't there before. I had a couple of burns which I suppose came from the instrument,how I don't know. You can tell something was done but not a lot of good that was done. You can see where he stretched my right side more to the left from my tummy tuck. I still have the same back fat. He says my skin didn't retract like he thought it would. Another thing I found strange is that I still weighed the same that I did before the procedures. Shouldn't my weight have gone down? I have had a few follow up appointments with him where I was treated very poorly as well. I heard his nurse saying"Wish me luck" before entering the exam room to see me. Like I'm a nuisance bothering them. I paid over $9,000 to have a tummy tuck and liposuction only to come out with the same issues. I waited and waited and waited to see if he was going to fix the problems. He was going to fix it but I would have to pay an additional $2,000 plus dollars. Why??? Why wouldn't he just fix his mess up without charging me to do so. I wouldn't recommend Dr.Smith at the Face and Body Center in Flowood to anyone. No cared. When I asked for a higher up there was no information. If you have a medical procedure done and you're not satisfied with the results and the surgeon wants you to him more money to fix what you had already paid for in the beginning. Don't wait to long. After 2 years there's nothing an attorney can do to help you in the state of Mississippi. I not sure if these types of photos are allowed to be posted so I'm not. But trust and believe I'm not lying or over eggasurating.

I am retired nurse who recently married, May 20, 2023, 77 years old with multiple back problems. I am very particular about medical care, thus do my research. Dr. Wegener and staff provided excellent care exceeding my expectations. Very thorough, explained everything pre and postop. Treated me with utmost respect and caring, answering all my questions regardless of how mundane they were. I on 2nd day postop breast redux, but am very happy with the result already. His bedside manner is very down to earth, makes you relax and feel that he is talking to a friend. Has a great sense of humor but takes his work seriously. I couldn't have found a better surgeon to perform my procedure. I commend and express my gratitude to all involved in my visit and care--Angele, Ruby, Ryleigh, Dr Johnson, Shelby, Tasha, Mackenzie, Kelli, and, of course, Dr. Wegener. Great team! If I could give 10 stars to Dr. Barraza & his team, I would! I’m post breast augmentation & extremely happy with my results! Prior to surgery, the procedure & my wishes were explained in great detail. Ashley & Lauren made me super relaxed & comfortable, answering every question I asked after my consultation. This teams level of care & professionalism are unmatched & I HIGHLY recommend him!
