Based on reading these google reviews, I am not the only one who had this experience. This was my first time going to a dermatologist and I'll never go back. I had a rash breakout all over my legs and armpits. I battled it for a few months and finally made an appointment with Dr. Ohlhausen. The visit itself was fine. She told me to get blood work done, take three antihistamines a day, and call her back if no change. She said "We'll try something else if this does not work -- don't worry!". After a month of it only worsening, I called her nurse. It was like I was talking to a whole new office. She wouldn't call me back, so I would try again and she would answer the phone and say stuff like "What do you need, Allison?". After about 7 voicemails, I got ahold of the nurse and she said "At this point, you can probably just get another opinion.". They were very quick to bill me regardless. It made the whole dermatologist profession seem like a joke. I wish I would have just gone to my primary physician.
I have seen Dr. Olhausen for over 10 years. My last appointment with her was one of the worst I've ever had. She came in for 2, maybe 3 minutes tops and told me if my problem didn't go away to go see a general surgeon and then billed me for the visit.
My husband had a really bad experience here. He was told by his primary care doc that he was breaking out in a rash from an allergy of some kind, he went to Dr Ohlihausen and she said he had mites from being in St Lukes Hospital North for 2 days. She prescribed 2 prescriptions, 1 for 2 times a day. The medication came in 2 tiny little tubes and lasted 2 1/2 days, because we had to put it all over his body. So we cant get it refilled for 2 weeks! And now the nurse tells him he has scabies, and get some cortizone 10 otc.
She has been one of the best, great communication skills and very pleasant to be around.
I’ve been going to Dr. Ohlhausen for years because I am very happy with her practice.
