Top notch hair salon 👌. I been coming to this hair salon for the past 10 years and I am a regular loyal customer. Lorena is my hair stylist now after Valerie left the salon and I couldn't be any happier. Their quality of work is to perfection. They will not leave you unhappy and make sure you get what you asked for. The ambiance is clean, and very relaxing. At arrival, they offer any drink you like such as wine, mimosas, tea, water, etc. The owner Jessica really knows what she is doing and her customers keep coming back. I highly recommend this hair salon and would not change going anywhere else for my hair.
Everyone at the salon is very welcoming and friendly from the moment you check in to when you check out. The atmosphere is very relaxing and includes a hot stone neck massage at the hair wash station. For my haircut I went to Valentina. She always gives me the best haircuts. She evaluates my hair type, asks questions, gives suggestions and most importantly I leave with a cut and style that suits me and that I am very happy with.
My experience was great! I was a last minute appointment, and Lorena had another color client. Salons in general are busy, and I was worried that because of her other client, that my cut would feel rushed or I wouldn’t be able to voice my wants/concerns about my hair. But it was pleasantly the complete opposite! Despite the busy salon atmosphere, Lorena still made me feel heard and prioritized. She asked me questions, allowed me to express my wants for my hair, and even talked to me about her decision making process throughout the cut. Even though my hair was already super short and we weren’t able to reach the exact cut I wanted (which I knew), she still gave me a very similar result/vibe and made my hair look so much more voluminous despite taking off length! Usually with short/pixie length hair, many stylists I’ve tried in the past have a hard time making the cut feminine, or just not cutting it in a way that will allow the hair grow out evenly and nicely. But with Lorena, I felt beautiful afterwards and she, again, made sure to tell me about her decisions while cutting and how the cut will positively impact my want to grow my hair long. Lorena as well as Dani (who shampooed my hair) were so sweet. Props to both of them!
I’ve tried to like this salon because they clearly have a loyal following, but the sins they’ve committed on my hair are unforgivable. My natural hair is dark brown and almost to my waist. I brought in a reference photo to have my bangs bleached and the first attempt was okay, but not exactly what I wanted. I went in a second time and my hair was bleached to oblivion and completely ruined by Jimmy (see pictures). The next day I had to go in a THIRD time to have my hair dyed basically back to how it was originally. I still cannot understand how they let me walk out of the salon like this. All in all it cost me $240 for this mess. Because of all the bleach, the color I keep putting in to cover this keeps washing out so I’ve had to dye it brown repeatedly since this happened and it’s a never ending headache. This isn’t even the first bad experience I’ve had. A little over a year ago I asked for choppy layers. Hugo was my stylist and after asking several times for shorter layers he told me it would look ugly. I started crying and left the salon and had to come back the next day to get it fixed by someone else. The final haircut did look nice, but the experience was just awful. It’s 100% worth noting that in all these instances I was offered the opportunity to come back and have my hair fixed which is commendable, I just can’t understand why this keeps happening. I bring a reference photo every time and explain what I want and it just doesn’t seem to work out. If a stylist cannot execute a reference photo, the respectable thing to do is let the client know so that they can go somewhere else. I’ve given this salon so many chances and I’ve really tried to like it because it has a great reputation, I just don’t trust them not to botch my hair again.
Highly recommended!! What an experience!! The spa is absolutely beautiful. The clinicians are highly skilled professionals. They are very welcoming and very friendly. Their attentiveness makes you feel as if you are the only client in the spa. Their facials and massages are like none other I've experienced anywhere. Their products are top of the line. My experience was so wonderful the first time that I returned a second and third time. I also treated my sister and friends because I wanted them to feel as special as I do when I go to J Walker. They raved about their experience, especially how they were treated. More importantly, J Walker helps you understand the importance of wellness and caring for your body as well as your skin. J Walker Spa is now my go-to for the ultimate in full spa treatment. Bravo!
