I rarely leave reviews but my experience was so bad, I feel it will help others. I had a referral (given from my PCP) to see the dermatologist but it seems it was for just one visit. I went back to get the stitches removed (second visit) and was not told I needed a new referral. I went back after one month to continue the treatment started on my second visit (third visit) and once I was there I was told I needed a referral for my second and third visit. They told me when I was there and not before the visit so I could not continue with the treatment. Getting a referral would not have been an issue. Not being told a referral was needed was the problem. The insurance would not take it. Now I have to interrupt the treatment while I am looking for a more competent dermatologist. I have two wait two months for the new appointment with a new dermatologist, that is I am missing 3 doses of my treatment. Update: After this review, I called my insurance to verify about the claim that supposedly was being denied, and the insurance person told me a referral was never ever needed and no claim was actually denied. As a matter of fact, it was paid. If you want to spend time figuring out what's going on, what you are being charged etc. feel free to go there. But if you are a busy person, I would recommend someone else who is on top of the practice and the insurance paperwork.
Dr. Romee Gandhi was great. It was my first time ever seeing a dermatologist & she answered all of my questions. My husband even made an appointment with her the moment I got home & said how great of an experience I had. Highly recommend!
I came for acne problem and doctor Joseph Strauch is very unprofessional. He gave me some brand new prescription medicine called Cabtreo and told me to apply to THE WHOLE FACE EVERY NIGHT, which gave me severe chemical burn reaction after a couple days. I had to go to another dermatologist to know that this medicine is not suitable for sensitive skins, especially not around eyes. People need to gradually take it one or two time per week to see how things can go. Now the skin around my eyes are entirely purple, and my whole face is peeling off skins. Joseph spent 5 minutes seeing me, without letting me know that he actually put the refill twice, which means he wants me to use 90 days in a row. Why should doctors like him still here? I called this place to let them know the situation, and want to return this prescription. Without any comfort or instructions about how to save my skin, they barely just left a message saying the medicine has nothing to do with them. If I have any question about returning, I should go to the pharmacy. Don’t come guys!! I regret it and I don’t know when would my face recover.
Not happy with the visit. I went there last week, to see the real doctor (dermatologist), I ended up seeing an ANP - Romee Gandhi. She spent less than 6 minutes and gave me a list of test to do. Like, she doesn't know what's going on. An experienced doctor would know how to treat an issue related to skin. Based on my results she'll google the problem and than she'll google the solution to treat it. Save your self from this place, go see a real doctor. They might have doctors in their staff but you won't see them. You'll meet Assistant Nurse Practioner with no experience. Not Recommended!
I'm not sure I've ever gotten in and out of a doctor's office so quickly especially as a new patient. Yet, the appointment wasn't rushed. Both the support staff & Rome Gandhi, NP are great communicators and I left the office feeling like a valued patient.
