Lidia was amazing! I have very difficult veins where most people need to try 3 times and then take from my hand. She was able to get blood first try and it was completely painless. I will definitely be requesting her in the future.
The lady at the front desk was so extremely rude. I went in for an H. pylori test, but I did not know I needed a doctor’s prescription for the test prior to getting it done. I told her no problem and that I can get one within the next week. She then fell silent and I awkwardly stood there expecting her to at least say good bye or to advise on how I can get a new appointment. Instead she side eyed me for 20 seconds and then said “ok bye” and dismissed me with her hand. In the back, there was another employee who was seemingly laughing at the interaction. All I know if whenever I get my doctor’s prescription, I’ll be going over to Quest like I usually do.
The biggest pro is the location with an easy parking garage and bakery/coffee places right there where you can validate your ticket for free parking. This is especially useful if you are doing gestational diabetes tests for pregnancy where you have to wait either 1 or 3 hours in between blood tests. Of course, you can't eat or drink, but your spouse, friend, or partner can while waiting with you, and you have a nice relaxing atmosphere to wait (instead of the car). If you have to wait 3 hours, you could totally go watch a movie since Ipic is right next door. Cons: No one is at the front desk. You have to check in yourself, and good luck if you have a question! Their line information on the screen is not working, so you have no idea who's next or how long is the wait or even if you checked in correctly! I needed that special glucose drink for my GD test and my husband had to flag down someone so I can get that, then wait 1 hour, and then flag someone down again 1h later to make sure I wouldn't go above my time limit and invalidate the whole test! For NJ, this is probably the best location considering parking, easiness, and surrounding businesses.
I had a fantastic experience at this LabCorp location, and I want to give a special shoutout to Lidia, the nurse who drew my blood. She made the entire process so smooth and painless.
I took my 7 yr old boy to test his blood (ordered by his Dr.) yesterday at Labcorp Fort Lee/NJ office. The lady who looked experienced (with grey hair, seems 45+ old in a South Asian look) did a butchering job for my boy. She used a normal thick needle to pick into my boy's arm, she moved the needle back and forth, ups and downs trying to get blood flowing out, but without success. I was often sick as a child and I remembered that I used to get a thin, children's size needle when taking blood. So I asked her to maybe switch to a thinner needle for this 7 year old kid. She said "I use this needle for everybody, but Okay I'll try another one" so she took a different type of needle from her pocket, which is much thinner and designed to be for a child or thinner veins. After her 2nd picking into my boy's arm, the first picked hole was starting to bleed / drop blood out; but she didn't do anything on her first picked bleeding hole, but continued to take blood to fill the 2 tubes. Is she professional at all / enough? I doubt it, but I can only say we have a very bad luck to have her taking blood and based on this experience I won't recommend her/Fort Lee office to any one.
