I have been with Pam for 12 years now. She’s taken me from my A line bob in my twenties to allowing me to enjoy the full length of my heavy hair in my mid thirties. On Friday, I asked for face framing layers and long bangs since I was unsure of a true fringe. She always delivers and manages thick, straight hair well. I have received endless compliments on my wispy bangs and new hairstyle. I highly recommend Pam for her artistry and versatile skill as well as Shampoo for their customer service and cleanliness. I was asked twice if I’d like refreshments and noticed another stylist immediately sweeping the cuttings of my hair from the floor. I also enjoyed my wash by a lovely pink haired girl who took care to make sure she didn’t ruin my makeup and that the temperature of the water was always right. These are small details that compose a great experience every time. It is a pricier haircut for some but includes a discussion with a skilled professional, a wash, the cut, a blowout and styling that lasts for months. You get what you pay for!

Didn’t have any appointment. Called them and they accommodated me. Pam is a great hairdresser. She knows what she is doing. I got the full color, highlight and hair cut. They didn’t tell any charges beforehand. Turned out to be super expensive! Also they didn’t give me any heads up about credit card surcharge!! Although the hair looked good, I felt broke!

Always have a great experience and a great haircut! Recommend Maria 100x over, she's a delight and she gets my hair and my lifestyle and doesn't give me a cut that's high maintenance- everything works for my hair. I've been a loyal customer there for 6+ years because it's always great. I've always had a easy experience booking and timeliness etc. Highly recommend if you're in Jersey CIty!

I can’t thank the wonderful staff at Shampoo JC salon enough for their kindness and integrity. I accidentally dropped my wallet in front of their salon, and instead of just leaving it, they went out of their way to search my name, find my contact info, and call me so I could retrieve it. In a world where it’s easy to just walk past, they showed true character and care. I may not have come in for a haircut, but I left with a deep appreciation for the amazing people who work here. Thank you again!

They were able to accommodate my friend and I for wedding updos and blow-ours after the Blow-Out Lounge a few doors down ended up being closed down for the appointments we previously booked. All of the people here were friendly and talented in what they did, and I’d highly recommend this place to anyone! Loved my blowout!
