Chandler Cosmetic Surgery

I chose Dr. Chandler for a mole removal procedure after reading glowing reviews from other patients. From beginning to end, Dr. Chandler made me feel that I was in safe hands. He explained the recommended procedure to me, detailed all options, and discussed at length what I could expect in terms of healing and results. During the procedure, he carefully described each step. The procedure itself was painless, and I could tell that he was very careful in getting the results he wanted. I was given careful instructions about how to care for the healing site. At our first post-op visit, Dr. Chandler thoroughly explained different options for minimizing scarring and redness. I followed his directions carefully and can say that I am overjoyed with the results. Dr. Chandler is a talented, but also caring surgeon. I recommend him and his services highly.

This is the surgeon to see for mole removal! I was looking into getting a couple moles removed from my face. I live in a suburb of Washington, DC. I looked around for plastic surgeons/cosmetic surgeons in my area, but every surgeon I found that had before/after photos I could always see scarring from the surgery. I found Dr. Chandler while searching for doctors. I found Dr. Chandler’s before/after photo and I could not see any scarring from moles being removed from all over the face. I really like that Dr. Chandler was a specialist of mole removal and cosmetic eye surgery. I had a Zoom consultation with Dr. Chandler. I found him very personable. He also asked me a lot of questions. He was very informative about the procedure and the healing process and after care to the areas. I drove up to New Jersey and had the procedure. He explained again what was going to happen and the after care of the areas. His nurse sent in a prescription to my local pharmacy for an ointment. It was great to have his nurse come in and hold my hand during the numbing process. The procedure didn’t hurt at all, and it took very little time. Dr. Chandler was responsive to my emails if I sent him questions. It has healed beautifully. I went back to NJ eight weeks later, for a follow up. We were both very happy with the results. All my family, friends, and coworkers said what a wonderful job Dr. Chandler did, and they can’t see that any moles were ever there. I’ll go back in about 6 months for my final appointment. I’m very pleased and would recommend him to anyone looking to get moles removed or cosmetic eye surgery.

After 30+ years dealing with a growth on the edge of my eyelid, I finally decided to have it looked at and met with Dr. Chandler, my "miracle surgeon" as I now call him. During the initial consultation, I immediately felt comfortable with Dr. Chandler. He took the time to listen to my concerns, answering all my questions, then go over the details of the procedure and the recovery process. He made a point to get to know me, asking as many questions as I was asking and empathizing with my fear of having eye surgery. On the day of the procedure, his assistant Danielle was there to greet me with a smile and walk me to the room the surgery was to take place. I feel silly now being so afraid of the procedure. It was painless! Through it all, Dr. Chandler explained each step as he was about to start and checked on me to make sure I was ok. The recovery was exactly as he described it. A little swelling at first and no pain. My friends and family cannot believe that there is no sign of a growth ever being there. I am beyond pleased with the results and very grateful to have found Dr. Chandler.

I came across Dr. Chandler's name as I searched the internet for a surgeon with knowledge of mole removal, especially by the eye area. I was able to read about his expertise and see pictures of before & after procedures. I was extremely nervous to even start this search because of the unexpected. I have to say, from the moment I called his office until my last follow-up, I have been treated with kindness and compassion. Dr. Chandler and his staff made me feel at ease explaining the process of the removal and with scheduling. The procedure took no more than 20 minutes to complete with very minimal pain. I left with clear instructions for after care. I am currently 6 weeks post-op and the area where the mole was removed looks fantastic. This has increased my confidence, as I always felt like people looked at my mole every time I was in a conversation. We weren't sure if my eyebrow hairs would grow back, but it has, and it looks wonderful. I am continuing to follow Dr. Chandler's recommendations to use certain products to minimize the pink in the area and to wear sunscreen. I am 100% certain that it will look even better in the months to come. If you are having any reservations, just take that step and you won't be sorry. I am much happier looking in the mirror these days and not seeing that mole anymore.

December 15, 2022 my husband and I walked into Dr. Damon Chandler’s office to discuss blepharoplasty surgery for both my upper and lower eyelids. Dr. Chandler was recommended to me, but I wanted to have the opportunity to interview two surgeons. Prior to meeting with Dr. Chandler, I met with another Dr. who was a blepharoplasty surgeon. I was extremely nervous about having this surgery and at age 69, so far being blessed to have never needed any surgery. After meeting with Dr. Chandler, the decision was made to have him perform the surgery. Dr. Chandler is a “People” friendly person. He took time to share information about himself and asked me questions that I thought were quite impressive. I had my list of questions for him, and he patiently answered each one. He could see that I was nervous about the procedure, and he reassured me that he and his staff would be there to walk me through the process. He always demonstrated professionalism, spoke clearly, and gave examples verbally as well as diagrams, as he discussed the steps that I would go through. He took his own photos of my upper and lower eyelids and did not have an assistant to do it. I thought that was a good thing to do. The day of my surgery finally arrived. February 17, 2023, my husband, and I arrived at the Abington Surgical Center. My post-op medications (2 items) were called in to my pharmacy a week prior and picked up. The staff at the Abington Surgical Center were pleasant and professional. Dr. Chandler entered the holding room with a smile, and asked how I was feeling. I met each surgical staff member. Then Dr. Chandler explained the operating room, and the different sounds I would hear when I entered the room. I already knew from our previous meeting how long the surgery would be, that my eyes would be swollen and require ice on and off every 20 minutes, and to sleep in an elevated position. As I entered the operating room, I felt confident, relaxed, and ready (due to the knowledge learned from Dr. Chandler regarding this procedure). Hours later, an Abington staff member woke me up after the surgery and my husband was there. My husband said that Dr. Chandler was pleased with the surgery and discussed the “Post-Operative” instructions sheet with him as he did earlier with me before the surgery. I felt NO pain! We followed the instructions and the next day Dr. Chandler reached out to us to see how I was doing. I was fine, and glad that the surgery itself was not painful. However, the next morning, the Tylenol and ice compresses for the eyes helped with the after-surgery slight discomfort. I was scheduled to see Dr. Chandler about a week after the surgery (February 23, 2023) for my Post-Op follow up visit. He was pleased and I was ecstatic to see the difference in me before the surgery and up to that point. Both eyes still had some swelling and bruises, but you could see the improvement taking place. I thanked the Lord for the gifted hands and patience he gave Dr. Chandler, and as we left, I smiled and thanked Dr. Chandler for helping me through the entire process. I thanked my husband for his support and being there to help at home with the medications, and me needing time to relax. Dr. Chandler did not just dismiss me after the post-op office visit. Instead, he did a 3-month follow-up in June, and October 2023 appears to be my last visit.
