Not long ago, my wife Silvia and I were blessed to visit Dr. Chiumento's office to do a consultation for Silvia. Nothing but the best care and advice from both Dr. Chiumento and his assistant Medina. We are definitely looking forward to Silvia's next appointment with an excellent team of experts at Dr. Chiumento's office... 💖🙏💖

Worst doctor experience ever, and it wasn’t even my doctor! At my BF’s request, I went with him to his appointment for an annual check. He forgets to ask stuff sometimes and I’m better at that than he is. We go in the examining room and we’re sitting there, and a guy walks in and is completely ignoring us while looking at notes, etc. He started asking my questions and at that point we both said “who ARE you?” It was the doctor, we had never met him, but he didn’t feel a need to introduce himself or anything. Strike one. Strike two was having my BF stripped down to his underwear, and having a female nurse just walk in and hang out. He should’ve been asked if it’s ok that someone from the opposite sex was going to be watching while he was examined. He was uncomfortable. At first, I thought that was silly, but then realized if the tables were turned, I would’ve been very uncomfortable. One of the things my bf and I had talked about prior was getting his scalp checked because I know someone who had gotten cancer on their scalp. He forgot, so after the doctor finished examining him, I asked him to check my bf’s scalp as well. His response? “WHAT ARE YOU, HIS MOTHER?” Maybe that’s the “bedside manner“ they teach at American University of The Caribbean School of Medicine, but that’s just plain rude without cause. Don’t walk away, run….

I think Dr. Marvin Chiumento is professional and extremely dedicated to his craft. His office is clean, well staffed and well run. It is clear to me that Dr. Chiumento believes in attention to detail and enjoys helping others. I was very impressed by him and the dedication and team work demonstrated by his skilled and diligent staff.

Dr. Chiumento and his staff are remarkable. It is very rare in my experience to get a personal call from a doctor today. It is a true testament to his concern for me as a patient that he will call me directly. His patient advocacy with insurance companies is another great attribute. He and his staff work hard to ensure required medications are covered by insurance. Thank you, Dr. Q

I have white coat syndrome, but also had a new onset of a circular red butterfly like rash on my face and some odd lesions on my arm, so had no choice but to seek consultation. My PCP recommended Dr. Chiumento. I am so very grateful she did ! Dr. Q. suggested I may have an autoimmune disorder, sent me with a steroid cream treatment plan and recommendations back to primary care for additional workup. Not only did he suspect and correctly diagnose an AD, he identified I had two types, one called discoid. Due to his keen assessment skills and kind humor explaining a word like "discoid" I am in remission. Thank you Dr. Q!
