I love the friendly staff here and my doctor is fabulous. Listens to your needs and makes sure you get the attention you deserve. She is very thorough, I went in for test results and she took the time to check my whole body. The atmosphere is very cozy and warm
This place was good but now a think a hedge fund bought them and ruined it. I was sent a message it was time for my annual appointment. So I scheduled an appointment. In the exam room they told me I was 4 months early and a computer glitch is scheduling patients early. It's just automatically contacting patients to fill open appointments. I think a lot of the doctors have left. They were nice about explaining it and apologizing. The doctor gave me a quick body scan and I left. I'm 66 on Medicare so I guess it's covered. I'll be seeking another dermatologist office not run by a hedge fund.
Although I was on time for my appointment, I waited an hour and 45 minutes to be seen. I waited outside in the car for an hour due to COVID restrictions limiting amount of people in the office then 45 minutes inside, waiting to checked in and be seen. Also front desk didn’t communicate that my referral had not been received. I called days before my appointment to confirm that my referral had arrived and I was told “If I don’t hear anything, I am good to go”. Once I was seen by Doctor Thomas, I was accessed quickly and effectively. Overall, I am pleased with the physician however I hope I don’t have to experience a wait like that again.
The office staff doesn’t seem to be too competent. My twins both needed to be seen every 2 weeks and instead of giving me back to back appointments, they would schedule one for one day and the other for the next day. After doing this twice I asked for them to be seen together and had to wait 2 months for them to be seen on the same day. Last month my son had an appointment at 9:50 which we got there on time and were waiting in line at the door. The woman in front of me had a 10:20 appointment and was let in before me while I had to go wait in my car. Another woman with her son came after me and they were still taken before me. In the same day it seemed like appointment times are more of a suggestion (since a woman was able to be seen a half hour early) and also no respect for your place in line as the lady and her son after me were able to go back before me. All in all it took a 3 minute visit with the dermatologist 50 minutes because of the office. This past week while scheduling my son since his twin hasn’t needed to be seen anymore, they scheduled the wrong twin even though his chart saying his name was right in front of her. At this point I hate having to take my son here because it always seems like something goes wrong with the office each time I come.
I recently visited the Derm group, and my Overall experience was wonderful. Great customer service from when I scheduled the appointment to when I left the office. Everyone was professional and clean. The waiting area was clean and it smelled really good. I saw Dr Thomas, very friendly professional and he explained things I never knew about acne which was good to know. I was in and out ! And I work in customer service so this was a great experience for me.
