The medical assistants and staff were excellent—from my first call to when I walked out the door. Unfortunately, that didn’t make up for the 30 seconds the doctor spent with us. I brought my ONE-YEAR-OLD in for eczema at his primary doctor’s recommendation, only to be made to feel like I was wasting her time. She spoke so quickly that by the time I could gather my thoughts to ask for clarification, she was already with another patient. To make matters worse, the tools and sink in our exam room were visibly dirty. While I’m sure that falls under the responsibilities of the hardworking medical assistants I praised earlier, I also recognize how overworked they must be—barely having time to breathe, let alone clean, between patients who all seem to receive the same rushed care. I’m posting this review a hour after our appointment and I’m confident the doctor won’t remember us if this review is ever brought to her attention. I expected better care, especially for a young child, and left feeling disappointed and unheard. Dr. Toome, but I’m sure if you’re reading this you already know that based on the other reviews.
This office is fraudulent. As a patient of Dr. Li for many years, I will never return to this practice. They charge for skin issues that don't even exist and then cannot back up the rationale when called out. They sent me letters about a payment that was my responsibility $160 and I received ONE notice and called and spoke to Jodi inquiring about these charges--she hung up on me and never returned my call. Then they send me another letter stating they called me multiple times and Lola reports the number they have on file is a number that is no longer my number and is not in service. Lola also reports this is a "standard" letter they send out which is threatening in nature and insensitive. The letter then states they are "disappointed at my reluctance to resolve my delinquency" and will send my case to an attorney and legal action may be taken. They did not apologize for any confusion or inconvenience and then were mocking me on the phone. Dr. Li is a wonderful provider but these two are horrific human beings. You never know what someone is going through, how about just being kind?!! Interesting that my $160 will make or break the practice when the lawyer will cost more than this. See yas!!! DO NOT GO HERE
Everything feels so rushed like you're WASTING THEIR TIME. I saw Dr. Lee (I can't recall, I don't care either) and my multiple checkups lasted 5 minutes if I was lucky. My issue was misdiagnosed and I wasted my time. I just defaulted to my primary doctor for advice and got my problems solved in one visit. Don't make my mistake
My initial call to schedule my appointment wasn't the greatest. Whoever I spoke with seemed irritated with my call, but I proceeded to schedule because I've heard great things about the provider. The day of my appointment I walked in and I wasn't greeted at all. The woman in the middle had someone in front of her, so I went to the first receptionist (on my right). She asked if I had an appointment I replied yes, at 8:30 with Dr. Toome. She then said "sign the sticker there's one left on the bottom" I signed the sticker and asked if she needed my new patient paperwork she stated " no, sit down they will call you". She was slightly rude, very cold and not pleasant at all. Shortly after I sat down. I got called to the front where I was checked in by Sabrina. She was very pleasant, asked for my insurance card and ID, she scanned my things and gave them back to me, she collected my copay and asked if I received my paperwork in the mail, I told her no but I printed the paperwork from the website. I handed her my paperwork and she then asked me to sign one sheet that wasn't on the website. She was very pleasant and didn't seem irritated with me. I sat down and waited to be called back. I was brought back to the room by Lisa, who was also very pleasant. I told her the reason of my visit and expressed that I have really bad anxiety, she assured me that I would be fine and Dr. Toome would take good care of me. Dr. Toome was very professional and listened to all of my concerns. She did a few biopsies, explained to me how she was going to treat my condition after being told for basically my whole life there was nothing out there other than ammonium lactate and amlactin, which did absolutely nothing for my skin. She also answered my question about a concern I had that my previous dermatologist told me was a result of my skin condition which Dr. Toome looked at right away and told me it was not from my skin condition that it was in fact something else and how she was going to treat it. My check out process wasn't too pleasant. I went to the last receptionist by the check out, I asked if I needed to come around she said no so i stayed where I was. While scheduling my next appointment, I asked if she had another 8:30 on that date she said no she has 8:45, I asked what's the latest and with a sigh she said 3:15, so I told her I'll take the 3:15 appointment and went on my way. As I got to the door, I remembered I needed a note for work, so I went back in and asked for a note, that seemed like a bother as well. She took a script pad out of the door, slammed the pad down wrote my name and DOB and said here. In return I said thank you have a good one with no response. Other than the two cold receptionist, my visit was well. I would definitely recommend my family and friends to see Dr. Toome. I myself am a receptionist and I must say as being the first face people see when they walk in, its your job to greet them and make them feel welcome, not seem like a bother, especially on their first visit when they don't know how the office operates. Its not about what you say but how you say it.
Dr Toome spent maybe two minutes with me and of course misdiagnosed my issue and prescribed the wrong ointment. Waited two weeks for an appt and now I’m back to square one.
