Epiphany Dermatology

This was my second visit to give Epiphany another chance and they were wonderful!! I think my first visit must have just been a time where my provider had too many patients and was cutting exam times short. A year later(this visit), Pooneh was so lovely, spent time doing a full body scan (last year was only time for half body), took care of a spot that could be treated, and did not seem as rushed as last year. Another plus was that I was able to schedule her recommended 6 month follow-up whereas last year she was booked for a whole year. I am happy I gave them a second chance and look forward to a long relationship!

For the removal of my carcinoma, Dr. Levin and his surgical assistant were both outstanding in the mastery of their respective skills, their ballet of their interlacing roles during the surgery, their attention to every detail of the work, the closure, the bandaging, their finally, their caring for me throughout my visit to make me feel completely comfortable with the entire event. At the end, they provided written follow-up instructions and all after-surgery care supplies. Recovery was easier than I expected.

First off, there was very loud, blaring country music. I think businesses should pick something more neutral. When I hear country, I am instantly in a bad mood. Second, the receptionist could not even give me a slight estimate of what my total cost would be, even though I told them why I was there. They were packed and I waited for 20 minutes. This is one of those places where they line people up on top of each other with no regard for giving quality care. I spent about 2 minutes with the doctor, only to be told to come back for a 5 minute procedure that would cost $167. No way. I am going somewhere else.

P. Newton was fabulous! Professional, informative, superb bedside manner and DOWN TO EARTH! Her assistant was also very sweet and efficient. Check in was seamless and the lady was very welcoming.

They chronically overbook patients, and every visit there takes at least 2 or 3 hours. At first I was glad that we were booked for 8 am, thinking we would get in first. But 5 other patients were scheduled for 8am also, and they were all taken before us. Cooled our heels for another 1/2 an hour before they called us back. Then hubby sat there and waited for another hour. Doc rushes in, removes skin tissue within minutes, then leaves him sitting for another hour before sending him back to the waiting room. This last visit with my husband (he is the patient, not me), it took an all time record of 3.5 hours. Worst wait time and visit to date!
