I’ve been going here for laser hair removal after seeing a deal on Groupon. My experience is always wonderful here. Martina is super sweet and very informative. It’s my first time trying laser too and the results are great so far! I recommend this place, especially if you go see Martina for laser!
Riza assisted me with a recent PRP procedure, and after having less than stellar experiences in the past, she truly made the process smooth and painless. I highly recommend seeing her for any future appointments, and I've already booked another session with her myself.
Avoid if you can. I found this place on Groupon offering a package deal of 3 Microneedling sessions. I had 3 sessions done last year somewhere else I had also found on Groupon and it was a great experience. So I was willing to take the risk and get the 3 package right away. Well I really wish I hadn’t. My first appointment with Riza felt nothing like my past 3 experiences having Microneedling done. It felt like she was punching me in the face with the needle pen. I don’t know if they have an older machine than I experienced previously or if she just didn’t know how to properly use it or maybe a mix of both but it hurt SO MUCH more. And then the next day I felt like my face wasn’t as red or the needles hadnt gone as deep. It barely looked like I had the treatment done. And after experiencing much more pain for it to feel like it didn’t even do anything- I was a bit disappointed. If I paid full price for one session I would have complained right there and never gone back. But I had bought the package and knew I had a deal so I just hoped for the best for the following sessions. My second appointment about a month later was with someone else and that went much better. So when making my third appointment I made sure it would be with her again and we booked for another month out. Now day of this appointment I show up to the office to find the door locked and lights off. I call and text every number I have for this place and get a call back- They had moved my appointment to another day and time without notifying me. Telling me the esthetician I saw on my second appointment no longer worked there. So clearly they can’t keep an employee longer than a month which is super red flag, beyond the fact that they changed all her appointments without contacting the clients. I planned not only my week around this appointment but the rest of the month and travels around when I would be getting this treatment done due to recovery time and not being able to be in the sun. So for a business to carelessly move appointments like this without taking the time to speak and confirm with their clients. Such a disappointment and HUGE waste of my time.
Friends if you’re reading this, you’re better off tweezing each individual public hair you were hoping to have removed with laser hair removal than you are going here. Avoid avoid avoid. Here’s the story for anyone considering buying from this scammy company. I purchased a Groupon for a year of treatments in October. First appointment, I was told that I needed to purchase two “areas” in order to do both areola. Fine. I did. I even purchased a third for another area thinking great I can do it all at once. But then it’s time for my second appointment in December. I had expressed clearly before the appt that I was going to be in a rush because I had to go form and then back to work. I get there and they’re running late. While I’m waiting, there’s another treatment happening in the other office from the electrolysis one and it’s clearly going terribly. 10 mins after I get there, a very scared looking young man with goop on his face comes out and tells the woman that he does not want her to continue the service. She says oh don’t worry don’t worry the other machine will work fine. He says no. And leaves. Ominous. Then I realize that there’s three ppl ahead of me and it’s going to be at least a 45 min wait before my appointment which was supposed to start 15 mins ago. I leave. This is a cancellation on their part ofc since nobody can be expected to wait 60 mins for a 15 mins appt. I text with them to try to schedule my next one. It is suspiciously difficult. Eventually we’re able to agree on a time. Then a couple days before my appointment (Jan) they cancel suddenly and without so much as a text or apology or effort to reschedule. Thankfully I had already booked my next appt I guess. At this point I begin texting them to try to get an extension on my year since I’ve missed two full months of treatment bc of their cancellations and impossibly limited schedule. They refuse and refuse. Anxious about even being able to do any more appts, I try to schedule an appt for march and April. Suddenly their website says they don’t offer laser hair removal in LIC where I was paying to get it done. Uhhhh…. So I ask for a refund. Refuse. So they won’t honor the existing appts and they won’t extend the package for its value and they won’t refund? Sounds like a scam! Honestly based on witnessing the terror in that young man’s expression, I wonder if they’re even licensed. Or competent. Or legal. The cherry on top is that when they refused to confirm their availability or offer a refund, I said I was done & wasn’t coming. They just sent me an invoice for $20 for the appt I tried to cancel. Edit: ok it’s not electrolysis it’s laser hair removal. Same functional thing for the purposes of this review. I included screenshots of the Groupon for ppl reading this as well as my text conversation with them.
I was really hesitant to leave a review. I really hate leaving negative reviews, but I got Morpheus 8 done here on my under eyes. I have called to ask what settings were used, and I was told that I was told this during my appointment which I was not. I was just told it wouldn't melt fat, which I had asked about. I wasn't aware about the risk of fat melting and I was never told any risks by Sue. I was told by Sue herself regarding the fat loss "not on the setting I am using." I have tried twice to ask what settings were used and was denied each time. They blocked my number I'm pretty sure because I am unable to call the salon, mind you I was not disrespectful, I just asked what settings were used. Not to mention I should have known when my first red flag was when they rescheduled my appointment for hours later than the original appointment without telling me. I am writing this completely heartbroken that I paid for a service to help and it only made things significantly worse, most likely permanently if fat was melted. I would love to have a conversation with Sue but unfortunately I am blocked and I saw another person say the same thing that they got blocked. I think they permanently messed up my face and I will be doing lots of prf and maybe even a lower bleth to fix it. But I will never have my original face back which is beyond devastating.
