Altman Aesthetic Center Med Spa - Westchester NY

Had two great experiences with Erica at the Westchester office. She was caring, skilled, personable and well informed. Had cool sculpting and Bb moxi done and both gave me good results so far. Very happy and I will be returning.

I had a very negative experience with Altman Aesthetics. In short: a treatment that was recommended and performed caused significant hyperpigmentation (darkening of areas of my face in blotches). After investing in dermatology appointments, prescriptions, makeup, and exercising extra caution with sun exposure… my face has cleared up… after eight months. After the treatment by Altman, I sought outside skincare opinions on what caused the hyperpigmentation and learned that the treatment (BroadBand Light and laser) should cautiously be used on my Mediterranean skin type, and was not recommended. During the period of my treatments I was careful to avoid the sun and wore sunscreen daily. Altman did not offer a refund of any sort related to the services (after I also contributed a substantial tip at the time of service). The team only offered to perform another treatment, which was not followed up on (nor would I trust their team to work with my skin again, after what happened). If considering Altman for skin treatments, note that the the MD associated with the practice is not a dermatologist, and quickly admitted (after I had to request to speak with him), that his estheticians are more knowledgeable about skin treatments than he is. He was extremely unprofessional when we spoke, questioning my explanation of my own medical history, skin type, and medications; and without him having any reference to medical records (and also having admitted he knew very little about dermatology and drugs related to acne/ skincare), he chose to rudely state I was wrong about my own medical history and the drugs prescribed by my dermatologist were not appropriate. As a follow-up to that point, my dermatologist has been excellent, and has patiently helped me improve my skin over several years. If considering skin correction or related treatments, I highly recommend looking for a center with a dermatologist on staff that personally performs an intake and skin exam. I feel foolish for choosing a center that does not. While the staff was very friendly (which I appreciated greatly at the time of service) I was disappointed in their response to a negative treatment outcome, especially by the MD who’s name is associated with the center.

I had my procedure with Erica. she made it confortable and she supported me all along. Her company and care made it easier and faster. I drive some distance to get there but I feel that any other services that I need in the future I will continue to go to Altman in Wechester , the services are great and Erica makes it special.

I received the PRP Hair Treatment today and Andrienne was amazing. She is extremely knowledgeable and patient. I am a highly sensitive individual and Andrienne was understanding and kind. I purchased a package of 4 treatments. I look forward to our next appointment.

Adrienne is AMAZING. Last year I had lip filler done for the first time at a different spa and it was a horrible experience and left me scared to get anymore. Adrienne made this experience amazing. She was so attentive and went above and beyond in making sure I was comfortable. She did a beyond incredible job with my lips I could not be happier
