I had a wonderful experience with Dr Gioscia. He was thorough and careful to explain the procedures to me. The outcome was better than anticipated. He is warm person as well as a talented physician. I highly recommend him.

I went to this doctor because of pain I was having due to a sudden enlarged vein at the back of my leg. He believed that fixing it could likely help my suffering. I found Dr. Gioscia to be really kind and extremely thorough. However, they wasted so much of my time promising me that the procedure would be covered by insurance only to hear from them shortly before the procedure was scheduled that because of the prefixes of my insurance card it’s not covered by insurance. However, they told me I could pay the Medicare price which was $5000. I wish I hadn’t taken time off from work to have my MRI, and two appointments with them. The procedure that I needed was medically necessary, not cosmetic. I went to add that there was a one month period of time toward the beginning of the process when I never heard back from the doctor after leaving several messages. You can be as smart and experienced as can be, but it means nothing without follow through and communication.

Dr. Michael Gioscia’s professionalism stems from his long experience in the field. His dedication to achieving the best possible outcome borders on perfectionism, and this patient appreciates his dogged efforts with my stubborn veins! I could not be happier with the entire process as the view of my red/purple veins has been replaced by clear skin - amazing! He is an outlier in the medical field in his generosity, as he doesn’t take payment if he feels the previous visit didn’t achieve an outcome to his satisfaction. When has that ever happened?! The office is clean and comfortable, the front desk staff are pleasant and professional, and the rates are remarkably reasonable. I hesitated for many years and consulted other vein specialists, but it wasn’t until I met Dr. Gioscia that I knew I was in the right hands. Don’t hesitate - go!

I am very impressed with Dr Gioscia! I did my homework prior to scheduling my consult finding that the doctor has an impressive background & great online reviews. Dr Gioscia has a personable and confident manner. He really took the time to fully explain everything in a way that was understandable. After the consultation I felt both well informed and assured leading me to schedule the recommended procedure. The procedure itself went smoothly with clear communication throughout putting me completely at ease. Post procedure instructions were clear and I was encouraged to reach out with any questions or concerns. I also want to acknowledge the practice staffers Yolanda and Francis, both of whom are super nice, welcoming, and professional. My entire experience at Dr Gioscia’s Vein Institute of Westchester practice has been an incredibly positive one!

Dr. Gioscia and his staff are the best. Fran his nurse is very kind and caring. He is a solo practitioner which is hard to find these days. He spends time explaining to his patients what to expect and the procedures he will be doing. It’s nice to be able to call his office and actually speak with a person (Yolanda who btw is so professional, pleasant and knowledgeable) and not a call center to be left on hold for 20 minutes.
