UNC Family Medicine at Pittsboro

DO NOT make this your primary doctor they keep accepting new patients non stop so they never have sick appointments. and if you want a consult you’ll have to wait months. you will be stuck paying a higher co pay at an urgent care since they never have same day appts. doctors are az3 because they just have nurses there as “ doctors “ and the appointments are 20 minutes complete waste of money and they just wanna rush you.. go somewhere else even if it’s out of town this is just a big corporation.

My husband tried making a new patient appointment as we are new to Pittsboro and the receptionist who answered the phone was extremely rude and very unwelcoming! No thank you!

I thought awhile before I wanted to share my thoughts but these physicians dont deserve the title.these people aren’t better then folks we work with… they talk about you, post stuff on Facebook about you and only think about their pay status and title. There should be a support group for people getting brushed off and misdiagnosed by the hands of doctors. People are dying and getting terminal diseases that could be prevent if doctors weren’t so lazy . Whatever happen to doctors caring and going that extra mile to help .anyway…. I been seeing these people since 2016 and they decide they are out of options because I keep returning for the same problems, does that make me crazy, this doctor thinks so, she suggested I see a phych doctor, her words exactly...funny huh, I laughed too. Ive had flagged lab test and these nuts feel it’s not important. The nurse assistant Margaret is very sarcastic and talks over you when you’re voicing your opinion. The flipside, everyone seems so nice and understanding , until you challenge them. If you’re sick and looking for answers, don’t go here. Waste of money and time.

Heard they were accepting new patients and called to schedule a visit. Customer service / scheduler was rude and put me on speaker phone without asking. And then got snippy and defensive when I asked if I was, in fact, on speaker phone in a doctor’s office. “That’s why I’m in a room with the window closed (insert attitude).” She hadn’t told me that. How was I supposed to know? If she had qualified from the start that she was training and asked if it was okay to put me on speaker in a room with the window closed I might have been okay with it - but I heard a lot of background noise so it makes me wonder if that window really was closed. And given this was my first interaction with their office I hung up. Now I read the comments below and I’m glad I did.
