Whitney Cole NP is amazing! I had 2 biopsies and subsequent surgery and she was awesome. Made me feel very comfortable and did a great job! I highly recommend her. Wait time was less then 10 minutes anytime I am there.

I had an appointment and I knew leaving my house that I was going to be late. GPS estimated I’d be about 5 minutes late, so I called the office and spoke to Taylor, apologizing that I was running late but wanted to let them know. She tells me that it’s fine because there is a 10 minute window, but says she will make a note because they are going to have a staff meeting, and she doesn’t want me to be locked out. It’s a 30 minute drive for me, and I get caught in road construction that I didn’t know about, so I actually arrive at 11:40 (10 minutes late). As soon as I walk in, I know it’s a problem. They aren’t friendly. The lady tries to tell me my appointment was at 11:20, but then backtracks when I pull out my confirmation text of 11:30. She says she needs to talk to the office manager and provider. They tell me I actually arrived at 11:41 according to their clock, so I have to reschedule. I explain about my call to Taylor, and she appears, but tries to gaslight me by saying that she told me about the staff meeting and being locked out. I said, “No. You said you’d make a note so I WOULDN’T be locked out because of the staff meeting.” I take responsibility for being late and I told the office this. My issue is, when I called, I should have been told, “Normally we have a 10 minute window, but today we have a staff meeting, so there is a chance you can’t be seen if you’re late.” And I would’ve opted to reschedule and save myself the 30 minute (hour total) drive. Furthermore, the office staff didn’t need to be so hateful with me because I was tardy. Even if you can’t see me, you don’t have to act like I’m such an inconvenience to you. Everyone runs late sometimes, especially when they are trying to get out the door with small kids, but politeness goes a long way, even when you have to let someone know they can’t be seen. Going forward, I will just drive to Asheville instead of ever fooling with this office again. There is reason most people in my area do not recommend this practice, and now I know as well.

I have been going to Dr Urash for 6+ years. The staff is amazing. Very knowledgeable and helpful, friendly and so pleasant to be around. Dr Urash has been amazing to provide direction and answer to my questions. He has kept me youthful as I reach my 70s. Dr Urash can work magic to make you feel young, vital and healthy. His skin care recommendations are top notch. I will continue to go to Dermatology Center of Shelby as they have become like family.

Whitney is wonderful!! Very caring and attentive. She's very understanding of my anxiety and works with me about it. She always answers my questions as well. I would recommend her to anyone.
