Novant Health City Lake OB/GYN - Thomasville

Dr Laneave is wonderful! I was very nervous about getting my IUD because of all the things you hear that can go wrong but the process was so comfortable as he was very concerned about my comfort and the nurses were awesome as well. I highly recommend him and his staff.

i visited during my pregnancy after three months for a routine pap smear by a female.. i was not informed of any risks after the exam i lost a large amount of mucus which i later learned was likely my mucus plug i experienced continuous fluid leakage for months and my concerns were dismissed no testing was done to check if i had a slow amniotic fluid leak later in pregnancy i went into preterm labor at eight months i had no prior history of preterm labor and was only my first baby and believe the pap smear and lack of follow up care contributed to my early delivery i switched doctors due to the lack of informed consent and failure to address my symptoms i would not recommend this clinic to expecting mothers who want informed consent

Wouldn't even write an antibiotic for a boil without going to another doctor's office. Like we have the money to go and do this. It's a boil if it was on my privates do I still have to go to a GP? The ladies upfront are the worst. The lady that did the ultrasound was super nice. But I. The end all I was told was go see specialists. They acted like I was crazy when I told them about my History when 100% of what I told them was told to me from that office. You need to teach your doctors to read charts also.

Facility is a bit dated. But Katelyn was wonderful and I look forward to her being my new Gyno.

Dr. Overby went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable & Wendi was just absolutely amazing. Wendi attended to my every need, including snacks and water. She was so informative about my pregnancy & what my next steps are. Dr. Overby was out of this world amazing as well! I’ve never met a doctor or a nurse at City Lake OB-GYN that I haven’t absolutely adored! Highly recommend getting prenatal & postnatal care with this OB.
