DePerro Plastic Surgery

I received a breast reduction in Dec of 2021 from Dr. DePerro along with his crew. The surgery took an hour less than expected (which actually concerned me that he rushed the surgery), and after a few months of healing, I noticed some odd things. I would like to note that I moved 1000 miles away and was not able to see DePerro anymore. I think that the healing process was fine and I healed fast, and I accepted that my once beautiful, large breasts were not going to look perfect. I needed this surgery. My scars have healed fairly well after 3 years. HOWEVER, my nipples are a mess! they are shaped like wonky zeros, and it looks like someone stitched them with their eyes closed. It honestly looks like each breast was done by two completely different people. The worst part is that my nipples sit SO HIGH, and a bra doesn't cover them. NOT EVEN A COMMON SPORTS BRA. My tits fall out of any shirt or bathing suit I wear unless it's a high-collar shirt or a turtle neck. It is so embarrassing. He told me they would fall lower due to "gravity." They haven't (yet) so far. I've done my research, and that seems to be a common problem - which means that it is not supposed to happen - and can mean that the surgery was not properly planned. I was only 21 years old when I had the surgery, I am now 25. I can't wear attire or bras that the average woman my age would wear because of this problem. My breasts look like they belong to someone in their 40s. I took a long time to write this review because I was devastated. I chose to no longer contact DePerro as I was no longer a fan of his work and wanted to pursue another plastic surgeon to help me with my post-op plans to get my breasts to look "normal." He wasn't giving me the answers I was looking for. I was so angry after the surgery and cried multiple times due to dissatisfaction. I would only recommend DePerro to older women who do not care about appearance, what clothes they wear, or cosmetically. I DO NOT recommend DePerro to young women, especially to those who enjoy fashion or the appearance of their breasts. I would also like to mention that this surgery may affect and alter your sexual life and self-consciousness/confidence as it did mine. I hear a lot of the times the comment, "I wish you didn't do that surgery" or "Your breasts are so ugly." Sometimes, it's my biggest regret, but I am so happy not to have size JJ breasts anymore and constant yeast infections under the breasts, along with back issues. I guess you can't eat your cake and have it... I did not have this surgery for cosmetic purposes, but I am about to visit another plastic surgeon to fix cosmetic abnormalities DePerro and his team have caused. A plus is that he and his staff seem to be very friendly, and his office is clean and welcoming. To each their own, DePerro's work is not for me, but he may be for you.

My appt was in July 2024. I was going to have a symmetrical surgery after my cancer was removed in my left breast. When I left the appointment I felt uneasy about the way he examined me and felt like he didn’t treat me with respect. Ultimately I decided not to have the reconstructive surgery, mainly because of him and that appointment but also the recovery time involved. If I had decided to have the reconstructive surgery I would’ve gone with another doctor.

Dr. DePerro was my breast reduction surgeon. From consultation to follow-up, Dr. DePerro was engaged, thoughtful, and supportive. He explained details in depth and always provided time for me to ask questions. While surgery can be intimidating, Dr. DePerro’s positive and fun energy kept the process easy-going and anxiety-free. Every interaction with his staff was positive and I can honestly say I enjoyed going to each appointment. I am still healing but my results look amazing so far and I was happy to have a complication-free recovery. I couldn’t recommend Dr. DePerro enough!

Dr. Deperro and his staff are absolutely amazing. I had WLS last May and I had loose skin around my abdomen. I went in for a consultation with Dr.Deperro in July and I just had my surgery on Tuesday and I’m already in love with the results even though I still have swelling. Dr.Deperro has amazing bedside manners and really cares about his patients.

Dr. DePerro is phenomenal as is his work! I'm 10 days post op having a panniculectomy done. He made me feel so comfortable from my 1st visit in his office. I was so worried about being botched like a few of my friends so I did my research and found people traveled from out of state for Dr. DePerro! The results I got from Dr. DePerro blew me and my family out the water! Him and his staff are awesome. 5 star care! You won't be disappointed 😁
