Midwest Dermatology Centre: Woofter Melinda J MD

I cannot in good conscience, recommend Dr. Woofter. I have been repeatedly disappointed by the poor quality of care both of my parents have received. In my admittedly layperson opinion, annual skin checks should consist of more than the doctor cursorily inspecting head/face, possibly hands. That perceived negligence alongside the medical office canceling our appointments and scheduling us 3 months later makes me question their commitment to patients' health and has precipitated our decision to seek medical attention elsewhere for my father. Unfortunately, my mother has since passed from an undiagnosed melanoma that presented as stage 4 when testing was done.

Made an appointment (six week wait- no problem as issue was not an emergency). They called today to cancel for next week. Next available was over two months from now! Explained that they were “just so busy”. Well, they will not be busy with me.

Made an appt 4 months ago told them what kind of insurance I had and they confirmed they do take it. Went into my appt filed out a lot of paperwork just for them to tell me they don't accept my kind of insurance. So now I have to go through the trouble and waiting period again finding a dermatologist. Thanks for wasting my time here. They should of told me over the phone 4 months prior they don't accept it instead of saying they do.

Dr Woofter was very kind and thorough. The office setting was relaxed and clean. As a new patient it took several months to get an appointment ( this is most offices) but once I was seen the follow up procedure was in the same week.

I had a couple concerns i needed to address and it was so hard to get into a dermatologist! I called midwest dermatology in granville and was able to get in an be seen in a reasonable amount of time without a long waiting list! The staff was amazing and dr woofter was a very sweet person who answered my questions and checked some spots i was very concerned about and answered all my question and made me feel at ease! I highly recommend midwest dermatology
