My nurse Nicole and her co worker should seriously change jobs. You are not the right person for that seat ma’am and anyone that treats patients the way you treated me while I was in your care is “DISGUSTING”. Remember when you called me that several times while I was loosing all my bodily functions while dying from an infection in your hospital? I do and mental health isn’t a choice anyone working as a literal nurse should know that, I hope you have the day you deserve, everyday.
Went to visit a friend, had to stop in bathroom before I went upstairs. The bathroom behind the reception desk. It was like a gas station bathroom when I walked in. Reeked, trash can overflowing, floor filthy and every toilet needed flushed. Absolutely could not believe this was a bathroom in a hospital. I actually told a worker how bad it was and he said he would pass the word on.
My sister went today at 9 p.m. and didn’t get into a room until 10:24 p.m., she went in because she hit her head Friday and it hasn’t gotten better. She went to urgent care and the doctor there felt on the front of her head and suggested that she go to the er. Her doctor at the er was Jacob Jay Patz he felt the top of her forehead and proceeded to say he felt what the doctor at urgent care was talking about. While in the middle of him talking his phone starts ringing and he leave the room. Then about 20-25 mins latter he comes back in and says “ in his personal humble opinion I don’t think you need a cat scan but I think you have a concussion or cranial suture.”He don’t do anything but touch the part of her forehead that hurt. He then proceeds to subscribe her zofran with makes not sense because he didn’t do the proper test to even give her medication. I don’t see how you can diagnose someone with a concussion without doing the basic test . I’m very disappointed on how it was handled and how he handled treating my sister tonight. It makes me feel like he was being lazy.
Amazing hospital with amazing employees. From the Doctors, Nurses all the way to Hospital housekeeping. Not sure you are supposed to enjoy your hospital stay but I have to say, I did. I go home today, but I will remember it.
My father was taken to UVMC after he was originally supposed to got to Kettering in Troy. The ambulance was directed there to to my father having PVC ls on the heart monitor. After I arrived the nurse gave him metoprolol, IV and walked out of the room. I had to ask her what she was giving him. Shortly after he was very uncomfortable. I tried positioning him but he had no relief. He asked me to push the call light. NOTHING AND NO ONE responded. Then his blood pressure was taken automatically. It read 57/42. I went into the hallway and called for help. A nurse came slowly around the corner (not his original nurse) then I heard a noise. My dad was in distress. The nurse said "he's having a seizure" then he coded. They called a code and started compressions. They took me to a room far away from my dad and no one told me they were able to bring him back. I was horrified that my dad had passed. When the PCT came in she said " no one has talked to you? They got him back" she took me to the hallway outside his room. The original nurse was in the hallway preparing medications and told another nurse "I got this, I live for this" Not something to say with family members waiting to see their loved one. Especially since she didnt "live" for a man that came to ER with heart issues and no monitoring. Didn't keep a close eye, didnt come when call light was hit. Glad she was satisfied with someone's loved one in distress. Wonderful in ICU. My dad did pass and these thoughts are all I think about as I am a nurse. I would never have these conversations when someone's parent was in so much distress. I would actually give below a 1 star rating for this nurse.
