My experience was wonderful. The receptionist, nurses and Dr. Casey each treated me with kindness and care. The steps of my procedure were explained to me and my questions answered. I found each person to be very personable which is such a comfort when facing a procedure I’ve not had before. I feel happy to recommend this practice!!
Skin surgery isn't ever terribly fun, but these folks made it as pleasant as could ever be. Dr. Casey was great, the nursing staff was super supportive and helpful. They were all concerned with my comfort and respectful of my time.
The billing and customer service department really left such a bad impression I will not be returning. I recorded an incorrect bill in October for my skin check appointment from November, $476. I called them and requested they re send the information to my insurance (when I called my insurance they said they never received an invoice from this company. That would be because they had the incorrect information where to send my invoice) in December, I received a second bill for the same amount $476. I looked on my insurance, and they had been billed and I should have only owed $146. I had to call for a second time to get the bill fixed. In January I received a THIRD bill for $476, so I called for a third time to ask them to fix my bill. They said they would and they would have a manager call me in 24/48 hours to discuss what happened and send a corrected bill. A week goes by and I do not receive a phone call. I have to call this company for a FOURTH time to get a correct bill and talk to someone. This is absolutely an unacceptable way to run a business and finances. I am so disappointed by this experience and will not be coming back, I already have a job that I get paid for, I do not want to have to oversee theirs. I wish I had a better experience with the finance department and customer service because I really loved the provider I met with for my skin check. He was straight forward and took my concerns seriously. He was reassuring about the issues I came in for and offered some solutions he could do right then and there.
I would like to start by saying the doctor and nursing staff that I interacted with were both great and they did help me with my medical situation. The complaint portion falls on their billing team. During my visit they ran my insurance and told me I was only responsible for a $20 copay which was paid at the office. However, a few weeks after the appointment I received a bill from the office for $300ish and it was noted on the bill that I was no longer insured. This was not the case so I called the office and was told that they were unable to submit the claim to my insurance and would need to talk with my insurance company. So I spoke with my insurance provider and was told that this occasionally happens and that they would need the claim faxed to them or sent to them in the mail. I relayed the fax number and information to the office and they said they would take care of it. Well it has been 4 months since my appointment, I have received the same bill 4 times, and I have had the same conversation with my insurance company and the doctor's office 4 times. I am so frustrated with the office that I have paid the bill and will submit the claim to my insurance company myself since they decided not to do anything about it. Additionally, my insurance is through one of the top 2 hospital systems in the area so there is no reasonable explanation for why they did not submit the claim appropriately as it is reasonable to assume they have had other patients with the same insurance provider. As a result of their 4 month span of incompetence I will no longer be getting services of any kind from this office.
Staff is always cordial and courteous as is the doctor. The doctor is thorough and explains everything relative to my skin issues. I do wish their offices were closer to my area of town and that they had not moved their offices a few years ago causing me a much longer commute for my appointments.
