Dr. Herron and her staff are absolutely amazing! They are incredibly knowledgeable and take the time to answer all of your questions. Communication is fantastic. They are compassionate and caring, Not once was i ever made to feel less than or like just a number on a chart. If I could give more than 5 stars I definitely would!
Very professional. One price includes all after appointments. Im satisfied with results. Much better experience than my first surgery years earlier. Now, I look natural and normal; feel good about my self. I was given RX’s for healing and prevention of scar tissue, etc. Nit cheap, but I checked around and feel I paid appropriately. I really like all the caring staff, as well as the surgery center.
My experience throughout the process at Elizabeth Institute has been nothing less than ex ceptional! It started with the first phone conversation I had with a staffer that put me at ease with my situation. Moving forward I had a breast implant exchange and I could not be happier with my results❤️! Thank you Dr. HERRON , and your wonderful staff for all your amazing work you have done for so many if us🥰. Tara B.
TL;DR: had a reduction/lift & my results are acceptable- I was looking for functionality not appearance & they are better than they were. They don’t look great, but better- so if appearance is important to you, just food for thought…like my areolas are all weird & crooked now. I gave 2 stars because the surgery seems to have been preformed competently & my breasts are more manageable. 2 stars because my experience with their medical team was abysmal. I’ve cried in my car after every visit & I’ve received what I will politely call disinterested care. Here’s as much as I can fit here: I’ve seen the work of both of the surgeons in the area who do this procedure & Dr. Herron’s looked better, so I chose her. Based on my experience vs reviews with words like “caring & compassionate” & on the person I saw her work on, it’s painfully clear I received worse care because I don’t look like the lady in this picture. I felt it from the moment I walked into a room with Erika. Dr. Herron is cold, curt, direct and insulted me during my consultation- saying patly & unprompted “your breasts are too big”…uhm, how bout asking if I like them? She also noticed acne scarring on my chest and said “so you’re a picker”. I explained (she was incredulous), but putting people with anxiety disorders on blast isn’t compassionate. Not the last time they showed disdain for neurodiversity. Warmth not required, but less brusque, more open could be advisable. Although they’re judgmental & that’s hurtful, my main problem with this team (except for Jasmine who is a treasure!) is that they are careless, sloppy & just going through the motions. There are so many, but here are few examples: -they had 4 months from booking to surgery to tell me I needed a mammogram; Anna told me less than 2 weeks before surgery with a holiday in between to get it done & expected me to make that happen myself when imaging was booking 3 months out (Jasmine saved the day!) - I have a legal name which no one ever calls me. Elizabeth Institute never had that name on their chart for me, but the surgery center did. Dr. Herron called me the wrong name on surgery day. Fine, met me for 10 mins 4 mos ago, but couldn’t be bothered to read your own chart before talking to me? - also know she didn’t check my chart before surgery bc she wanted to do something I adamantly insisted against & was assured at pre op would be in my chart & be read by her. I spoke up, thank god, but I almost threw up I was so upset & went under terrified - at my most recent follow up Anna goes “you can sleep without a bra now” & I go “but I have mesh” & she goes “oh! That’s right! I forgot! You need to sleep w a bra for…” You forgot? The chart is in front of you. This type of mistake happened a few other times- can’t fit it all here- so sloppy! My experience was genuinely that I’m a number going through the system & any time I had anything occur that wasn’t standard the response was “that isn’t common”. Full stop. That’s it! It wasn’t: “that isn’t common, but it can happen & we recommend X, here is a list of places to get X. Keep us posted & we’ll follow up with you” or “let me do some research on that & get back to you”. The attitude is ‘side effects are your fault because you’re weird & gross & you just need to deal with it’. When I called Anna to ask about a medication I knew next to nothing about she got the vapors so badly I thought she was going to pass out- she didn’t even listen to anything else I had to say during that call. Ma’am, you are a Dr & an adult, if you can’t have a conversation without breaking your hand from clutching your pearls maybe you are in the wrong business. Caring or crushingly judgmental? I cried my eyes out after. There are many more examples! Including today when Anna told me to disregard another Dr’s diagnosis RE my breasts based on a picture. 🙄 Bottom line: if you want augmentation to a C cup, do yogalates, collect Stanley cups & are thin & pretty you’ll probably have a better experience than I did.I still have 2 appts left and I am DREADING them!
Wonderful experience from beginning to end! I love the staff the doctor and my results! Also, the Ashland Surgery center was a great place to have surgery! I've had alot of surgeries in my life, and this was the best experience...I loved all the super caring nurses as well as the anesthesiologist that had a great sense of humor but also very professional!
