Valley Dermatology

I had a disappointing experience at this dermatology office, where I couldn’t help but feel like I was treated differently due to prejudice. The PA, Chelseah Darling, was neither courteous nor respectful, frequently speaking over me and making comments that dismissed my experiences. I felt as though I was being seen as less intelligent or less trustworthy, which made the visit uncomfortable as I tried to just power through it. When the appointment ended, the PA gave a quick “nice meeting you” and left the room without any guidance on next steps or where to go. As I tried to leave, someone yelled at me that I needed to check out, though there were no clear signs indicating this. The receptionist then made a condescending remark about their system not being able to track when patients leave. The overall tone of my visit made me feel unwelcome, I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was being treated differently due to factors beyond my control—whether it be my race, gender, age, or other perceived characteristics. It was frustrating and disheartening to feel dismissed in a setting where all patients should be treated with the same level of professionalism and respect. It’s disappointing that in a medical setting, where all patients should feel heard and valued, I left feeling dismissed and disregarded. I hope this office reflects on the importance of equitable and respectful treatment for all patients.

Excellent service by PA Chelsea Darling to each and everyone on staff. They are now my main Dermatology care. After 2weeks of a bad reaction rash they worked me in same day as I called. Exceptional care and diagnosis from action to my rash to a full exam with biopsy to freezing treatment too. I’m so pleased with this office.

Was called and offered a free skin check. All were very nice. Will use them as my dermatology from here on out.
