Blossburg Laurel Health Center

I was 5 minutes late and I called but still refused to keep appt. Sit in the waiting room 15 minutes after xheck in and then another 15 minutes or more in exam room. This is 1 if the worst offices. Not like doctor see u at your appointment time.

They keep you waiting 20 to 45 minutes but youre not allowed to be 5 or 10 minutes late. Takes week to actually get an appointment so if you need seen quick you have to go to emergency room or walk in.

Very disappointed with this LHC location. We typically go to Mansfield. But when I called and needed a same-day appointment for a very swollen bee sting near the eye, we were sent down to Blossburg. Our visit was very short. They took us in the room and did the normal basic questioning. When the doctor came in, she looked at the swelling and said, due to the late time of the appointment, there wasn’t anything she could do. She told me she wouldn’t even charge for an appointment and that I should take my daughter to the ER. As we were walking out I stopped at the desk and, again, the lady at the desk said they weren’t charging for the appointment. So we left, went to the ER, she was given prednisone to reduce the swelling ,and a few days later was officially diagnosed with a bee allergy. Three months later we received a bill in the mail. You know... the bill we “weren’t being charged for.” I called to let them know of the mistake, assuming that since many staff members paid attention to the cute, sweet little girl with the giant swollen eye, perhaps someone remembered the incident and recalled how it actually happened. Nope! We were told that if the doctor said that, it’d be in her “notes”. Hmmm.... I guess “the doctor” made a mistake and doesn’t feel like admitting to it, nor would she ask the other staff members if they remember the situation. I remember it vividly and know that I would never have left the office without paying unless I was told to. And I wouldn’t waste my time typing this whole thing if I even thought I could possibly be wrong. I’ll pay the copay, but I’ll stick with the Mansfield or Wellsboro offices from now on.

Very pleased with Dr. Wilkins and the staff here at Blossburg LHC. They were all so kind and understanding to my father and demonstrate compassion and interest in helping me get his health on track. Thank you!
