Geisinger Frackville

I've had this doctor since the office location was *built,* and the extreme drop in quality has been noticeable. They will stall refilling life-saving medication until you go for an unnecessary appointment, and they will not transfer your medication elsewhere if your insurance changes over to one they don't accept. So they hold your scripts hostage until they take $300 from you. But don't worry! They'll cancel your appointment for you anyway because they never have a doctor present in their doctor's office! Their after hours line will send you to the LVHN office across town that does not have your medical records and cannot ethically provide care. They lied to me multiple times about submitting refills, including emergency supplies, to my pharmacy. They do not have your best interests and health in mind--if they did, maybe I wouldn't be on such an insane goose chase for a medication that I've been taking for a year now and have never had issues with. I have never been more infuriated and disappointed in my entire life, and neither has my pharmacy for dealing with all of the bullshit this office has put me through. I'm honestly excited to never have to set foot in this office again.

I was sent here to get a mouth swab done for a strep test after a video visit with my provider because I couldn’t drive to her office in time. And apparently at this location they don’t see anyone “medically” after 5pm even though their door and website says they are open until 7pm. I have never felt so dismissed and ignored. Then I called other clinics or convienent care locations to get the swab done anyway and apparently all Geisinger providers leave at 5pm or they get so “swamped” they stop seeing patients because the providers can’t handle it. Awesome medical treatment. So glad I wasted my time, gas and energy trying to take care of myself, even though they wouldn’t.

I had an appointment at this location in January of 2023. After the appointment I was going to pay for anything that was owed but they said they were going to submit it to my insurance and anything that was not covered I would be billed for. I never received a bill or any notice that anything was due so of course I figured my insurance covered the cost. Without even billing me or giving me a chance to pay what was actually owed, they sent me to collections. Then upon receiving the collections notice I called the facility to speak to someone about it and even though their hours are until 7 p.m. on the day I called, no one would speak to me. Just an all around bad experience as the staff was somewhat rude as well on the day of the appointment.

Reception and nurses were always great, doctors were usually nice, but there's no such thing as follow ups here. Ongoing problems were hardly ever added to mychart. Visit notes/summaries had wrong information, or things that were never said. They don't listen to what you tell them is and isn't working for injuries. Keep taking otc pain relief as their solution, but now I can't even take that because it doesn't work for anything at all anymore. My current problem, I was bounced between appointments (5 different doctors and 3 different specialists) for them to give me another appointment with somebody else instead of just listening to me about what was working and what wasn't.

If I could give them zero stars, I would! I was seeing Jamie Wagner at this clinic and woke up one morning with both of my eyes glued shut, and even after cleaning them out...could not see. Now I relayed this information. Her suggestion, because they didn't have any appointments, was to drive to Mount Carmel to the urgent Care and maybe they could prescribe me something and take a look at it because she didn't have the time. This place is the epitome of bad healthcare!! I do not know how geisinger is still around, because every single one I've ever been in has been a bad experience from the nurses to the treatment right down to the doctors, but this one takes the cake. I would recommend you go to your local shaman begore you go here.
