Schweiger Dermatology Group - Kennett Square

I had an appointment at 7:20 at the Kennett Square location. The address of the office, 701 E Baltimore Pike, is on another building that has primary care offices. I called the office and reached someone after 10 minutes who barely spoke English. He gave me the # to reach the Kennett Square location. I reached the same person at that number! I finally found the office 2 buildings further up Baltimore Pike 15 minutes after my appointment time. I was told I had missed my appointment and that “the main number should have contacted them to tell them I was running late.” I said, “I agree!” They offered me an appointment with a PA for the next day or a new appointment with a doctor in a week. This was after waiting 3 weeks for this appointment. I declined the PA appointment since I’ve had 3 squamous cell carcinomas excised in the past. The receptionist was glib and offered no apology and clearly must have known that the other building had the same address, and this could not have been the first time this had happened.

The receptionist (who wears Blind Pew style glasses indoors) is very rude. In general, the office staff is very rude. When they are treating you, which requires removing your clothing, they leave the door to the consultation room wide open. I had to keep asking them to close the door. No sense of decency or patient privacy. I received conflicting care instructions after my procedure. The net result was that I developed a condition that required a follow up procedure; i.e. due to their incompetence, I had to have a second procedure. They never mentioned a follow up appointment to check in, never called to check in. Had I not called them, I would have just been neglected. When they scheduled me for the initial procedure, they didn't mention that I would be there for over 8 hours. Initially, they said it was a quick procedure but they neglected to mention the immediate follow up lab testing that was required... multiple times. This caused an issue with my work for that day with me having to cancel meetings at the last minute. When you go to their main website, they want to take you to their online store, which is a separate login from the patient portal. Both of those are separate logins from the payment website. Complete technology disaster. It's like the 1990s called to say "You need SSO, people!!" Overall, the communication was lacking all along the way. I would not recommend this office. Very disappointing experience.

I've been going to the Kennett square Pennsylvania office for about 2 years. They're always on time and willing to help answer any questions I have. My physician's assistant and support staff are on top of their game. I've had melanoma three times and most happy with the in-office treatments and follow up visits. I would be remiss if I started to mention names because every one of the associates of the office are on top of their game. Thank you to all. I know I am in good hands. Joe G.

Had a great experience with Dr. Julie Sims. No wait time and the doctor was very informative and took her time. Would recommend.

The staff at Schweiger Dermatology are professional and competent. Julie Sims, PA-C is great! The wait time was only five minutes. I highly recommend this practice.
