Geisinger Kulpmont

I had arrived 14 minutes late. I have a bad sprained ankle,that has recently happened and is hard to get around. That's not the reason I was to see the doctor this day. I had waited 3 months for this appointment and was told by the receptionist I was late and she would ask my doctor if he can see me. She comes back and said no, you'll have to reschedule. I said I understand I'm late but there's absolutely NOBODY here. Not 1 other patient to be seen. She then explained that the Doctor is leaving a half day today( like most days) and won't see me. He was in with a patient already it was only 11:39a.m. but still wouldn't see me. So now I'll be waiting 3 weeks!! This place is HORRIBLE!!!!! The attitude with the receptionist is also a problem. She was very condescending and rude about being late. I'm not certain if she even asked the doctor to see me.🙄☹️

Can’t get an appointment with my PCP until JUNE if I want a morning appointment. Seven months! This is unacceptable!

I had the worst experience with the front desk receptionist Maranda and Melissa, both were rude and condescending. What should of been a simple explanation of a billing dispute clarified from the insurance company turned into both ladies handling the situation very unprofessionally. Maranda stated "I'm over this" when I had insurance on the phone to clarify the finding in their Oracle system. I will not be returning as this is the last straw, either the receptionist say smart remarks upon signing in , or just have a nasty disposition. Its ashame my family has visited for about 10 years to the kulpmont practice, the doctors, nurses, pa are great. The reception area needs training asap. I will be finding another GP asap and going elsewhere. Also, how many bad reviews does this gesinger location have to get about the front reception to change this same outcome? Very disappointing

Dr. Boozel is a wonderful Dr. He actually takes time with his patients and actually listens to what we have to say instead of just in/out. He has literally saved my life. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a very smart, intelligent, caring Dr. Thanks Dr. Boozel for giving my husband and I the absolute best care possible.

First I'll start by saying Geisinger does have a lot of good qualities that's why i gave 2 stars but..... They are so overloaded with patients that literally everything is falling through the cracks. You have to call over and over to find out the next step in your care. If you don't pester them till their forced to deal with you then you'll most often not be called back. Make no mistake this isn't just Kulpmont it's the whole of Geisinger. Sadly it's actually most hospitals these days.
