Schaefferstown Family Practice

I have seen Doctor shay for 7 years now. he is an amazing doctor he helps me and listened to my concerns and needs. I've been dealing with Sponge Kidney. I go through kidney stones all the time, and he is the first doctor who actually helps me deal with my medical issues. I am so grateful to finally have a doctor who helps me. I appreciate and am so thankful for my doctor! I take his words into consideration, and he gives me really good advice. I have been ignored with my medical issues from other doctors, and Doctor shay has never turned me down on my medical needs. the nurses and front desk are very nice and they also take you seriously! thank you so much, schaefferstown family practice. You're an amazing team!

Dr. Folk is the best diagnostician. He listens carefully and heads you in the right direction for your illness situation. He makes you feel comfortable and really cares. His years of experience really counts.

I have been a patient for almost 10 years and will not be returning. I have always trusted my doctors but I have finally gone online to view my records and found I was not told I had RSV when I had small children at home...I had very low Iron another time. Dr. Shay told me he couldn't do anything for me and that I needed to see a psychiatrist. Stacy Lattanze is wonderful but I'm told I have to see the Dr. Shay when I try to request her. I'm just done.

I am extremely unhappy with Schaefferstown Family Practice. I called to check the status of my medical records being released to another provider and was treated incredibly harshly and unfairly by Ellen, who I was later told is the office manager. Her demeanor was unnervingly unprofessional, and her lack of understanding is completely unwarranted especially in a healthcare setting. I would recommend staying far away from this office unless you enjoy being ridiculed for calling about a fairly urgent and easily resolvable matter.

I was a patient for 2 years. I will not be returning. I had a yearly physical. Dr. Shay only saw me for 2 minutes. I came to have a conversation about a genetic disease a family member got diagnosed with and what I should look for and he made me feel like an idiot and said he’s not the person to talk to. Who do you talk to if not your family doctor? Horrible. No care for their patients. Just $.
