Dr. Christopher Hove

Before seeing Dr. Hove, I had minor procedures from two other plastic surgeons. Dr. Hove by far was the most professional and reliable surgeon I have gone to. He truly takes his time to understand his patients and does fabulous work. The results are stunning, and I would recommend Dr. Hove and his staff to anyone. Since having two procedures done by Dr. Hove, I have since gotten fillers and Botox from the nurse practitioner at his office, Melani McGuire. Melani has a caring personality and is the only person I would trust with my Botox and filler. She takes the time to understand the patient’s wants and expectations. I spent years setting up consultations to find a plastic surgeons office I trusted to work on my face, because I feel it’s incredibly important to not rush into a decision as big as plastic surgery. I receive many compliments since having work done in Dr. Hove’s office, and I believe when you look your best you feel your best. I would not advise anyone to use the physician assistant for Botox or fillers. Both my sister and I had terrible results. We had to have it corrected by another surgeon. She is not skilled or qualified to be giving injections.

Dr. Hove did a FANTASTIC job with my marionette line filler and botox for the dreaded "11's" and he lifted my left eyebrow with botox to match the other. I came in expecting to need surgery and he convinced me filler and botox would do the trick. Despite my initial hesitations about these products... he was right! He took years off my face instantly. Highly recommend 👌

I was given price quotes for a face lift, brow lift and ear pining which were vaguely scribbled on a paper. I decided to just do the facelift at first. Payment was demanded in full and it was made for just the facelift, but when I arrived at the surgical center they were prepping for all three. I specifically asked for a Smas lift in which the muscle are moved up, Dr. Hove said after the procedure that it is basically a cut and pull, which my research says that it is rarely done anymore. I had a very painful recovery from the facelift. I mentioned this to the doctor. His response was, “That’s why they call it surgery!” Dr. Hove took until the next day to respond to my call. High raised and visible scaring on the back of my head, because it was stapled and not stitched. All post op appointments are scheduled with the nurse practioner, Melanie. Why would he not be eager to see his work? Dr. Hove said that he was discouraged that so many of his patients have unrealistic expectations. Dr. Hove schedules his appointments for only 15 minutes and he strictly adheres to this. At times I felt rushed and my concerns were not addressed. Each time I underwent a procedure I was met by their opinion of how amazing I looked. Could it have been done in order to discourage any concerns that I had? I paid for Botox, but there were no results seen. Their response was,” You want to try again at an additional cost?” Dr. Hove encouraged me to do a mid-forehead brow lift instead of the endoscopic lift, which left a scar. My research shows that this is rarely done because of permanent scaring. I asked if the two incisions be staggered on different brow lines, which he said they would be, but then he put them on the same brow line. The frown lines remained, even though Dr. Hove told me that they would be diminished as part of the brow lift. This is mentioned on his website and all other surgeon sites. Hooding, more so on one side was also still evident afterwards. The eyes remain closed. Stiches were scheduled to be removed in 11 days rather than the standard 7 days as they were on vacation. My research says that mid-forehead stitches must be removed on time, so I had to go to an urgent care center. Dr. Hove charged me for a revision, which still resulted in very strong frown lines and asymmetrical outer brow skin draping. Dr. Hove promised me a chemical peel with the facelift and brow lift. He later did not recall this and said he does not give any free stuff as they cost money. i
