Schweiger Dermatology Group - Pine Street

I wanted to find a dermatologist since I had a rash/acne issue. This place had good reviews and is in my area, so I called for an appointment. The first appointment available was with a PA, Ana Kutys, so I took that. The office is in a large, old townhome converted into offices. There are steps to the office, but there's a ramp and elevator located around the side of the building if needed. For my first appointment, they asked me to arrive 10- 15 minutes early, which I did. I arrived to find a very long line of people waiting at the reception desk. After waiting about 10 minutes, the receptionist (reddish hair) yelled at everyone to sit down (unprofessional). After sitting for a while, the line cleared. I checked in and gave her my insurance cards. I was called back over 20 minutes past my appointment time. The PA and assistant were nice. Ana was friendly, patient and did a good exam. She ordered 2 creams, but unfortunately, they didn't work on my issue. I made an appointment with Dr. Crawford, a dermatologist. Again, there was a long wait. In the exam room, he seemed rushed (didn't even look at my chest/back which also had bumps), he told his assistant what to order and when I should follow up. My 3rd visit (2nd with him), the wait was just a few minutes, the nurse had me get into a gown for the first time. He ordered another cream (they showed me how to order it). I received two bills from this practice and paid them. In hindsight, I should've called and asked why I was being charged since I had Medicare and a secondary insurance, but I paid the bills. I looked it up and it looked like they only billed my Medicare. It took me hours on the phone with them until I got an agent who realized that the receptionist never added my secondary insurance! The agent said they'll have to reprocess it, but I have to wait up to 30+ days to get a refund. I'll continue with the care but not impressed with the office part! Will update...

I’ve been a patient at the Pine Street office for several years. My most recent appointment was with Erin Gillespie. I was impressed with her expertise, thoroughness, efficiency and friendly, calming personality. Her assistant, Isabella also did a good job updating my file and assisting Erin. As always, the office staff was pleasant and the suite was clean.

It’s always a good experience with the staff, PA Gillespie my daughter adores her and the medication and advice she gives is wonderful. I did have an issue with a phone operator who was rude and unprofessional when I called to confirm the appointment . Otherwise we enjoy coming here and I have referred my co workers to come here as well.

This practice is very on top of things ekg patients texting you reminders about need for preventative checkup, appointment dates and times. The office returns call in a timely fashion. The office visit was efficient using iPad to document the visit. The physician Dr Jih took time to answer questions and accommodating. I highly recommend this practice.

When everyone else was telling me 3 to 5 months to see a a Dr. Schweiger got to me the next day! Dr. Erin Gillespie was kind, thorough, and fantastic! Literally saved my skin!!! 😆 I highly recommend. Thank you!
