I had a tummy tuck with muscle repair and liposuction a year ago. It was the best decision I ever made and it was only possible because of Dr. Alvarez. My husband and I spoke with him before and after surgery and he gave us his direct line for any issues or questions we had. Obviously, invasive surgery isn't easy but Dr. Alvarez and his staff were there to answer all my questions and see me whenever I wanted him to reassure me about my recovery. I also had some issues after surgery that he was very attentive and proactive in getting fixed. They even worked my insurance company to cover additional costs. I really cannot say enough good things about my experience. He is the doctor you want by your side to ensure great results.

The office is beautiful. Everyone I met was very nice. Dr. Claudio-alvarez was so informative, and extremely comfortable. I never felt rushed, nor did I have to wait any abnormal amount of time (if even at all). He explained everything about what would need to be done and how, and if there were choices . I began my search for plastic surgeons in the Pittsburgh area about a year ago to perform my breast lift/augmentation. I am in the medical field and being around and working closely with various Physicians the past 10 years I knew specifically what type of surgeon I was looking for. Some people do not care about bedside manner as long as the surgeon does a decent job. I am not one of those people. I wanted the best of the best with the bedside manner to match. I came across Dr. Julio Clavijo-Alvarez on real self and his reviews were so great I almost wondered if this doctor was too good to be true? But I set up a consultation and let me tell you, Dr. Julio lives up to the hype and then some. Not only does he take as much time as you need to answer all of your questions, but he is a PERFECTIONIST and it shows. And I do not use that term lightly but my results speak for themselves. My breast augmentation looks exactly like my “wish pics” I showed him. He nailed it 110%. My surgery went smoothly, the facility in Wexford was amazing, zero complications, and I was back to work in 7 days. (Much shorter than I anticipated considering I also received a full anchor lift). I couldn’t believe it especially because I am constantly moving at work. Pain was manageable. I was able to text his personal cell with any questions I had and he always got back to me same day and even called to answer a few of my questions one day. He never once made me feel like I was bothering him. For every follow up in the office I saw him personally, which was also great because it put my mind at ease. Every single interaction I’ve had with him he has been nothing short of kind, caring, and respectful. My friends/family/coworkers are in awe of my results in such a short time. (And now all want to go to him for their own future procedures). I will be back to ONLY Dr. Julio for any future cosmetic surgeries. He sets the bar so high. You will never be left in the dark at all throughout the entire process and you won’t be nervous of being “botched” because he is the best at what he does. I do not see him again for 6 months but he made it clear I can text him anytime with questions or make an appointment if I needed to with any concerns. There is a reason he has nothing less than 5 star reviews. I am so thankful I found Dr. Julio Clavijo-Alvarez at Renova plastic surgery.

I recently had rhinoplasty by Dr. Julio Clavijo-Alvarez. This is the second procedure I had with him. My first procedure with him was blephoroplasty in 2016. I started to go to him based on reviews and the amount of blephoroplastys he has done. So it was a no brainer to go to him for my rhinoplasty. When I consulted with him about it I had a slew of request of what I wanted to achieve. However Dr. Julio Clavijo- Alvarez exams my nose and took pictures. He review with me the pictures and was able to pinpoint what exactly was causing me to want a ton of work when I fact it was just a single thing that would correct all the things I disliked. He also walks through an analysis of my nose on an application to show exactly what he would think would offer me the results I wanted and also what a realistic result would be. I initially went into that appointment almost sick to my stomach and worried about what will be done, but after that appointment I left feeling so confident and even more excited than I was before my initial decision to get it done. I left knowing exactly what would be happening and and not only answered all my questions and addressed my concerns but provided information I did not even think to ask. The day of the surgery he marked my nose and explained again what would be happening. His bedside manner is second to none. After the procedure I thought I would be in pain but in fact I did not feel any. He was so gentle that it caused very little discomfort and no pain. He called me personally a few hours after the surgery to check on me. During my follow up appoint a week later he took out the splints and the cast and I got to see my nose. Even though it was still a bit swollen I could see the new slope in my nose and was so excited for it to be healed so I could see the results. I had another follow up a week later and he took picture to compare the before and after and I fell in love with my nose even though I would not see the full impact until around 3 months. I would not recommend any other surgeon for plastic surgery other than him. I did have breast implants done before I went to him and while the experience was ok, I didn't realize that compared to my experience with Dr. Julio Clavijo- Alvarez was not even close to Dr Julio's. The difference made me realize what a surgeon should be doing and I did not receive that level of expertise from my previouse surgeon. I only wish I knew of him during that time so I could have had it done with him. For each procedure I had with Dr. Julio Clavijo- Alvarez I was so educated on what would be happening and the results I would see that I was never left in the dark. Not only would I 100% recommend him for any procedure but his office staff goes above and beyond for you as well. If you are not from the area I still would recommend you travel to him because he is in my opinion the best Dr out there. My experience was amazing and I am so happy with my results.

Dr. Julio Clavijo made me feel comfortable as soon as I met him. I can’t explain how great of an experience I had. He met all of my expectations, and more. I got a breast augmentation done by him and I could not be happier. I’m 4 weeks post op and I feel amazing! So so thankful!
