My husband & I had the privilege of having Michelle Boniscavage, NP to do our full body scan of our moles, etc. She was very informative, knowledgeable, patient & kind. She didn't rush us at all. She made us feel very valued.

I have mixed reviews. As for the care of the Dr. (Michelle boniscavage) she is absolutely amazing! She takes care of me everytime I go in, any concern I have, takes as much time as I need & is so caring and compassionate. I will continue going back there JUST FOR HER. As for the one lady at the front desk (blonde one in particular) she’s another story. Not friendly - and for more than one instance. I was 10 minutes late for an appointment one time and they marked me as never showed up. I got a $50 bill for that. Yet another instance, I literally waited in the waiting room for 45 minutes & was supposed to accept that? She didn’t once say what was going or sorry for the wait - nothing. I had to leave because I had another appointment to get to . My appointment was for 11:00 am and waited there for 45 minutes . I went to the front desk where she was and just said they were running behind. I wasted 45 minutes there and had to leave to get to my next appointment . Ridiculous. But they can send me a no show bill for being TEN MINUTES late. tell me how that makes sense.

AJ is great! Have been seeing him for few months now for some skin issues! He is thorough and very informative! He listens and makes you feel comfortable! The staff is also very friendly! 10/10 recommend!

I’ve been going to DermDox a little more than a year now and although the situations I’ve dealt with medically haven’t been the best, I always enjoy my interactions with the staff. AJ has hands down been one of the best providers I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. He ended up finding a stage 1 melanoma on my ear and walked me through every step of the process. He made sure that he heard my concerns and my fears about surgery (I was referred to plastics) and about my future in general. He spent a good hour+ with my partner and I talking us through all of it, showing TRUE compassion and care. He could have made it a simple, ten minute “this is what it means, go see plastics because it’s their problem” appointment, but he refused to do that. He made sure every question I had was answered and made sure to reassure me that we were going to solve the problem. He listened to me as I cried when I told him I was afraid I would no longer be good enough for my children and how I felt I would be “deformed” and judged for the rest of my life. He’s not a therapist but he made me feel seen in that appointment and continues to do so for every other appointment I have with him. My kids see Michelle and she is FANTASTIC with both of them. Neither of my kids really understands why they see her (I take them as a precaution because of my history) but she’s super understanding of their fears and their jitters. She answers any questions I have and also reassures me the same way that AJ does that we’re taking the proper steps for my kids and their future. Prevention and protection is key, and any and all questions you have about “what sunscreen is best?” or “what’s the best way to avoid exposure in general?” will be answered with genuine care, not judgmental tones. Some doctors/offices can be super condescending or make you feel as though you’re stupid for asking questions; but I have never once felt that at DermDox. If you have concerns or something just doesn’t seem quite right and you’re searching for a provider, look no further. I highly recommend AJ Himmelsbach and Michelle Boniscavage (pediatric side of dermatology!). I’m am super grateful to have found AJ when I did and I’m absolutely positive someone else in the future will be too. I literally owe him my life and am so thankful to be able to spend another day with my babies because of his skill and care. AJ, if you’re reading this — thank you!
