Coastal Dermatology Cranston

Had my internal medicine annual visit and my doctor wanted me to get in sooner than my annual derm appointment. Called and they were able to get me in in less than a day. Saw my dermatologist from last year. She seems very thorough and great. Froze two things on my head. I have no problem with this place. Other than understanding the lady at the front desk I thought I was supposed to go to Warwick because she mentioned that road, but the text and email confirmed 750 reservoir Ave in Cranston. Plus the website reinforces that. So I'm happy.

I usually dont resort to writing negative reviews, but unfortunately I dont seem to be able to get the attention of anyone here where i call. I was in for a consultation in December and have been waiting for a callback and appointment, but over a month later nobody returns my phone calls and messages. II have left messages with the back office to find out the status of the approval from my insurance, I have left messages with the front desk, and I have even left messages on the nurses line. It's as if they dont want my business. Very disappointing.

I am very disappointed with the way this office runs. My last three appointments have been cancelled on me the night before or morning of (like this morning). People take time out of work, rearrange childcare to get to appointments and that never seems to be taken into consideration with this office when I speak to staff. I have worked in the cardiology field my whole life and yes there are emergencies, but this is consistent and it doesn’t look this review is the only one expressing that.

Nobody told me they were moving from Johnston to Warwick. I drove from Cranston to Johnston for my 1:00pm appt. to find an empty office with a sign barely affixed to the door saying they moved to Warwick. Drove from Johnston to Warwick to find that office still under construction and two people there that were useless. Drove from Warwick back to Cranston to only be told Dr raposa had left for the day. Told I was supposed to reschedule back in August, which I called to do, yet when I called to reschedule, the idiot told me I didn't have to reschedule for Dr raposa. I know nobody cares that I drove around Kent county but I'm irate that nobody told me they were moving. Ridiculous! How do you NOT notify all of your patients? That answer right there just goes to show incompetence. I amended the situation myself. I'm going to a new doctor.

I had a great experience with Coastal Derm, a chemically peel. She explained clearly what to expect throughout. She even gently removed my mascara prior to the procedure. Thank you Coastal Derm!
