Koch Eye Associates Woonsocket

I have been seeing doctors and opticians at Koch for many years and was always very satisfied. Can’t say the same for recent experience. They now seem to have an answering service which gives you a run around to get through. Had to go physically to office to schedule an appointment. Had a new optician my previous one left. Was not at all pleased with her. Dr I had been seeing for retina issue no longer there. Was scheduled in Jan of 2024. Appointment was cancelled 3x’s before I finally saw new doctor in Nov. He was very good. Thankfully not an emergency and just maintenance. Not sure that I will return for my next annual. Very disappointed.

The managerial staff is extremely unprofessional. The manager fired a worker in front of staff and patients. The poor girl was very upset and embarrassed. It was uncomfortable for patients in the waiting room. There is a time and a place for that! Someone should read the manager the way she treated this girl.

I had an appointment scheduled a week ago. I called to confirm my appointment and was told the doctor retired, and they called me on October 24th and left a message to reschedule. I checked my voice messages since I never erase any of them. I did not receive any messages. I called to complain of this and was given a voice mailbox for the manager, so I left them a message regarding not being notified. A week later still no call from them. This has happened before from this location. Poorly ran business. It is even worse than that as it is for medical treatment, and they actually have people who need to see doctors. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THERE SERVICE OR LACK OF.

What has happened to what used to be Koch Eye in Woonsocket? Nothing there is the same, and not for good. No one warned me that it had changed hands.

I come here once a year to get my eye exam and any glasses I need as allowed from my insurance. My experience has always been so pleasant and smooth! Whatever I need, I ask and it’s fulfilled. Plus I have the best eye doctor. This recent visit, the check in was a young lady who was sweet and pleasant. I liked that no PII (personal identifiable info) wasn’t said out loud. My wait time was short or maybe I didn’t noticed because I was too preoccupied watching the Food Network competition between teenagers baking. They have kids on there now??? I was soon called in by the eye assistant, don’t know what you formerly call them but she was pleasant too! Then I got to see my yearly eye doctor and she’s so great too. I always look forward to getting my yearly eye physical here.
