Upstate Plastic Surgery

I went to Dr. Blakemore for my consultation. Within a week, my insurance approved me for a breast reduction. She has made this a smooth process. Even when I had to reschedule. I had my surgery today and I don’t feel any discomfort nor pain. I’m grateful for such a sweet and thorough surgeon. Her staff was just as sweet and informative. She is truly the best !

When I was a teenager, my mother choose Dr. Blakemore - in regards to performing a breast reduction for me. We travel to Upstate Plastic Surgery often. I've always had very large breast and I had pain in my back and shoulders since I was a teenager. Unfortunately I was afraid to get the breast reduaction as a teenager and my mother completely understood. In my 20's I got Cancer - not Breast Cancer - and by the grace of God I survived it as well - I'm thankful to God. During this time I kept Dr. Blakemore in mind - my mother did as well. In my 40's my mother still mentioned my breast reduction surgery and she wanted me to continue to see Dr. Blakemore - having my last discussion with my mother before she passed away during August 2020. On August 27, 2024 Dr. Blakemore did my breast reduction surgery at Prisma Health Patewood Outpatient Surgery Center. ZBefore the surgery Dr. Blakemore had an amazing conversation with me and my siblings. The surgical staff were amazing - In the past 23 years I have never had a smoother, no issues, no drama, and less stressful surgery. I am very thankful. All of my post- op appointments with Dr. Blakemore were also wonderful - my sister went with me - she also thinks Dr. Blakemore did an amazing job. I love my new breasts - no more shoulder pain or back pain due to having very large breasts - or purchasing expensive bras. I was also able to purchase new comfortable bras from Upstate Plastic Surgery - I love them - I will be purchasing more of them. My breast reduction The staff at Upstate Plastic Surgery are professional and very sweet - all of the years I have been there as a patient. I have never had a bad experience. In addition, my primary doctor will be referring her patients to Dr. Blakemore for breast reduction surgery - before this time she didn't know any doctors to refer to her patients. Dr. Blakemore and the staff at Upstate Plastic Surgery were/are super amazing - it's a friendly and warm atmosphere. My mother and I have always made the right choice from me being a teenager up until now in my 40's - we have always choose Dr. Blakemore. Thank you so much, Dr. Blakemore.

Dr McLaurin is chefs kiss! I went for a breast reduction consultation and I have never been so informed and educated. She was so kind, patient and friendly. She left no stone unturned. She advised and explained so much, and I was able to understand. I felt very safe and comfortable, and will definitely trust her with my surgery. I never do very well with female physicans, but we did great. She was very genuine. Thank you, Dr Mclaurin.

I never write reviews unless I feel very strongly about something and Dr Shultz and his team are the absolute best. I got some work done there and he did exactly what I wanted, he actually did better than I what I expected. He was very caring and took the time to listen to everything I wanted to get done. I never felt rushed and was very comfortable from the second I walked in to the second I left. They all went out of their way to help me with my skin routine and my skin has never looked better. I moved to CO but I will come back to see Dr Shultz for anything that needs to be done. I am so lucky I found him as my Dr and his team.

Dr Blakemore was recommended to me for double mastectomy. First assessment appointment went well, I thought. The more time i spent with her, I noticed she did not communicate very well the plan of care. The appointment after first surgery without explaining what to expect when dressings were removed, she yanked them off without a word, then leaves the room with me in tears, to leave the nurse to console me. DR Blakemore may do this everyday, however it's not everyday a patient will go through this traumatic experience. Years of experience as an RN, we we taught to explain procedures and listen to patients concerns no matter how small it may be. After the 3rd failed surgery, I found a new plastic surgeon and couldn't be happier.
