The doctor is personable but the business practices are sneaky. The billing department does not communicate to explain charge codes, despite repeated attempts, nor is there any mention of costs after insurance until a $300 bill arrives two weeks later.

I was a patient of the facility for several years and paid my bill timely. My son later became a patient and his bills were also timely paid. I attempted to schedule another appointment only to find out I had a past due that was going to collections. I found this odd because all of the previous bills were timely paid. I paid the bill but they wanted to charge me an additional collections fee. I refused to pay it and explained to the agent that had I known I would’ve timely paid it. She refused to waive the fee and was rather nasty. I closed the account. After a break I decided to go back because I really liked the last doctor despite the rude service. I called back and was told about the same fee. I explained to the agent the reason I refused to pay the fee. She spoke with Dr. White who basically stated it didn’t matter, if the fee wasn’t paid I couldn’t utilize the facility. I gladly declined. I don’t want to spend my money with a business with such horrible customer service. I’m sure my insurance pays them more than $50 when I visit.

I was referred to Dr. White by a friend for a second opinion on a skin biopsy. Having had no comparison I thought my dermatologist was okay and was a little nervous the night before my appointment with Dr. White after reading a negative review online. But all my nerves were settled as soon as I met Dr. White. He was pleasant and professional. He took time to look at not only the one issue that I was there for, but also other things I had questions about. He did a full exam and looked at all of my skin not only my problem areas, which the other derm. never did! He asked me questions, gave me the opportunity to ask him questions, and explained everything simply in a way that I could understand. He made me feel comfortable and put my mind at ease. The staff is friendly and helpful. On my second visit both the nurse and the doctor ask me about a trip I had recently taken. They really take the time to make it a personal experience. I live in NC and have to drive a little over an hour to see Dr. White, but it is totally worth the drive. My family and I will be seeing Dr. White from now on!

Doctor White and his staff make you feel like you are part of their family..His staff are very attentive to your needs. He asks how you and your family are doing and tells you a little about his family.When the procedure is over you always leave his office with a laugh. This trip he said don't be shocked if he has fingernail polish on his fingers. His little girl practices on him. Recommend Doctor Richard White to all my friends and family..

My wife has been a patient here for several years and has never had a problem, until today. The nurse practitioner brought in Dr. Richard White, whom she had never met, for a second opinion. It went downhill from there. During the exchange Dr. White treated my wife like dirt. He was dismissive, lacked bedside manner and even raised his voice to her at one point. Afterwards, my wife called me in tears, which has never happened after ANY medical appointment she has had in the 12 years we have been together. This behavior is unbecoming of someone who has the prestigious and honorable title of Doctor. It is one thing to lack bedside manner, but to be dismissive of your patients concerns (allergic reaction in this case) and to actually raise your voice IS NOT ACCEPTABLE behavior.
