If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I went in to have a spot looked at on the back of my neck in September of 2024. Joseph took a biopsy and I guess today was the day that he decided to use an ice cream scoop for the biopsy because it was completely over kill to go that deep. Then he starts telling me how Dr. Carranza will perform Moh’s. I’m a little confused because why would you jump to Moh’s on the back of the neck or even suggest that would be the treatment before the biopsy results come back. Fast forward to January 2025, I receive the most unprofessional “Certified Letter”. The second page was supposed to be my biopsy results but all I received was a blank page with a bunch of black spots all over the paper. I called to inquire about the letter but have yet to receive a call back. After the horrible experience with the unnecessarily deep biopsy, I think more training is needed in proper technique. Suffice, to say I won’t be back nor would I recommend this clinic to anyone.
My husband and I are new patients at this practice and we had mole scans performed by Patricia Booher. We were impressed with her great knowledge and her professional yet personable demeanor. All office and support staff members were friendly and efficient. We highly recommend Patricia Booher and Dermatology & Skin Cancer Consultants!
I had a mole removed and everybody there was super nice and friendly and they were super patient with me with my nervousness. I loved the person that removed that she was super nice and sweet.
I would not recommend this clinic, due to the lack of follow-up & post-care after surgery. My best friend had surgery here and was told by the doctor that antibiotics would be called in to her pharmacy (she had a previous surgery @ DSCC & was given antibiotics then). The antibiotics were never called in, so we made an appointment to take my friend back to DSCC, 2 weeks post-surgery, to have the wound looked at & ask about the antibiotics, which we felt were important to prevent potential infection. We were told once again, by a nurse who was relaying info to the doctor, that antibiotics would be called in & were told they "didn't know" why the antibiotics were never called in directly following the surgery. Well, it's been a week now & still no antibiotics called in to the pharmacy! My friend made an appointment today with a local clinic, so that she can get the antibiotics that she needs. The area of surgery is swollen & we are concerned about infection. I am so disappointed with the whole ordeal. Not to mention that the doctor told my friend, on the day of surgery, that she would need wound care as well -- and, here we are, going on 3 weeks post-surgery & nobody has called, as we were told they would, to set up wound care. It seems that there's a lack of communication within the clinic staff, resulting in the "ball being dropped". My friend has been so stressed out over the lack of follow-up care, and it's totally uncalled for.
I love coming here, been seeing them for over10 years.. The office is very clean, plenty of seating. Very friendly staff.. ❤️
