Heather has a heart of gold! She's an amazing artist who cares so very much! She's very talented and extremely educated. I met her when she tattooed my eyeliner. Later, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and she was there for me more than I can possibly say. I got Dr permission to have her do powder brows (in case I lost my hair.) She is very informative about the entire healing process (I only had permission for an initial session with her until after my treament), but I healed perfectly. I also recommend her for 3D areola tattoos for any cancer survivor. She is passionate about her art!
Unhappy & disappointed is an understatement when it came to my experience with Heather at The Beauty Mark Studio. I’m not writing this review to bash the artist Heather, but to simply share my experience. I came in with previous Microblading from 6 years ago. It had completely faded except for a tiny amount in a few spots. I initially inquired about her nano stroke style of Microblading because I wanted something very natural. Heather insisted I was not a candidate for that style because I didn’t have enough natural eyebrow for her to work with. I have eyebrows, they are just on the thinner side. I have seen countless videos of Microblading artists successfully microblade that exact style on thin eyebrows, but I was trying to trust the process. She suggested powder brow style. This style is much different, as it is more of a bolder, makeup look style and was the exact opposite of what I asked for. She assured me that it would complement me and she would add a few hairlike strokes in the front. It was almost like she was pushing that style on me. She also said she was trying a newer technique of powder brow style. I wasn’t sure what that meant, I was super nervous about even doing the powder brows, but again I was trying to trust the process and the artist. When she color matched me she had her backed turned to me, looked at me for half a second from some what far away. She mapped me very well, I reiterated that I did not want my eyebrows too thick and she made sure I was numb and ready to go. The process was fine, I did not feel any discomfort. She stopped halfway through to numb me again, which I appreciated. When I looked in the mirror after she was done I wanted to burst into tears. I do not like confrontation so I kept my composure, paid her, and left. I was left with super thick, reddish light brown, blocky brows that were two different shapes and sizes in my opinion. I was absolutely mortified. I waited a week or so after she said they were suppose to lighten, which they did, and I was left with my jet black eyebrows and my very dark brown hair against very light brown Microblading. It looked absolutely terrible and I was so embarrassed to be seen like that in public. So I risked getting an infection from putting makeup on freshly microbladed brows to hide how incredibly botched they were. I finally grew balls and messaged her to tell her how devastated I was, mind you I didn’t even ask for a refund (I should have) but it was like she didn’t even care how upset I was that my eyebrows were not how I wanted them. I was very kind when I messaged her, I wasn’t hateful or spiteful. I was completely respectful in my delivery of how I was unhappy with the service I received. Instead of sympathizing with me, apologizing to me, offering me a partial refund…Heather did none of those things. Instead she tried to blame me for her poor performance. She told me that from my previous Microblading 6 years ago, the artist must have went too deep into my skin causing her issues when she was working on me. That if I come back for a touch up that she would fix it. I canceled my appointment and never messaged her back and you know what? I never heard from her since. I’d never treat a client like that. The reason I’m so pressed Heather is because you never tried to make it right. You just didn’t care, and I don’t want someone that doesn’t care working on my face. I really hope you self reflect on this, with peace & love.
Heather has done microblading & powder brows for me. She does a phenomenal job, and it is amazing the confidence it gave me. She is so precise in her work & is so talented! I would recommend her for any permanent makeup!
She’s amazing. This is not her side gig or what she does on the side, this is her passion. She’s dedicated to making people feel more confident about themselves. She is constantly taking courses and learning more and more techniques as the industry of permanent makeup develops. She is the absolute best and had made me feel 100x better about my appearance! And who doesn’t love having their makeup 90 percent done 😊 And do you really want someone doing permanent makeup on your face that cuts hair some or does lashes some or just does it part time? I sure don’t. Heather only does PMU!!
I had an excellent experience with Heather! I was a bit nervous- I’ve had PMU before and the outcome was less than desirable. Heather was professional and kind and really put me at ease. She’s a master at her craft and I’m blown away by my results! I scheduled another appointment while I was in the chair! 10/10 would definitely recommend.
