I've been a client of AW Skin for several years and recently underwent two Fraxel laser treatments at a cost of nearly $2,000. My primary concern was improving the appearance of my chin and lower cheeks, but I saw no noticeable changes in these areas. While I'm pleased that sunspots on my forehead were removed, my overall experience was disappointing. Despite discussing my concerns and desired outcomes with the tech both before and during the treatment, I was not informed of potential limitations or alternative options. Following the first treatment, I expressed my concerns that I didn't see any noticeable improvement in my skin. The technician advised that she could focus less on the forehead and concentrate more on the lower cheek and chin area during the second treatment, potentially using a higher setting. Following the second treatment, I expressed my dissatisfaction via email. While I appreciate the follow-up appointment to discuss my concerns, I found the before-and-after photos provided by the clinic to be inconsistent with my own. Furthermore, the follow-up felt rushed and dismissive. Instead of offering a comprehensive solution or acknowledging the lack of results, I was simply offered a discounted treatment for the lower portion of my face at a higher setting – a familiar response, as I encountered a similar situation with lip fillers that dissolved prematurely, lasting only four to five months. During this follow-up consultation, the technician, recommended I explore CO2 laser treatment. However, I had previously discussed this option with Amy, the owner, in previous months, and she had advised against it. While I understand that individual results may vary, I believe a more honest assessment of my skin and a recommendation for alternative treatments, even if they weren't offered at the clinic, would have been more helpful. The lack of transparency and the dismissive attitude towards my concerns have left me deeply dissatisfied.
