Now, down the hall you see a clear illustration of one of the many evil paradoxes in American health care, where patients are offered only one category of food before or after their medical appointment: Garbage junk food and surgery drinks, feeding cancer cells and killing patients. #dobetter

Actually the worst dermatologist experience; I set an appointment with the scheduling coordinator and was half-assed informed via their messenger app that doctor couldn’t honor my appointment because it was scheduled incorrectly. The doctor “Carmen Montagnon” deflected the root cause citing, “this is a system issue and I cannot change it” This isn’t someone else’s problem, Carmen, this is YOUR problem. Your diffusion of responsibility is unacceptable. Should’ve known I was in the wrong place after waiting in the lobby beyond 2:40 pm for a 2 pm appt, but finally the individual calls my name, led me to the room but was suspiciously uncomfortable when asking about the reason for my visit: hair loss. She proceeded to gaslight me, saying, “you don’t appear to have hair loss, unless it’s well covered up.” Ha! 15 minutes later, the doctor timidly enters the room, clearly aware of the standard work miss, doesn’t let her hour-late-to-my-appointment-self stop her from dismissing me immediately, “not enough time” for me. Huh. Paid a $60 copay for the office visit in vain, which the doctor patronizingly added that I, “wouldn’t have to pay anything additional.” After being an HOUR late to a 2 pm appt, this person has the audacity to tell me that the scheduler needed to set a 30 min appt instead of 15…. And she’s telling me this to my face.. at 3 pm. Can’t make this stuff up. When exiting, I was provided the phone number to report this terrible customer experience to, which the front desk clerk jokingly commented, “good luck!” with actually getting any help there. Of course, I’m not expecting any team or individual will take accountability in the slightest to correct for this experience. These individuals’ behavior were entirely disconcerting. Do. Better.

Surgery is never a fun experience, especially on one's face. But when it's done by the skilled hands of a competent surgeon, his work is really appreciated. Dr. Stebbins and his team provided me an excellent experience removing the basal cell carcinoma from my nose and reconstructing the skin into a seamless repair. Plus minimal pain and excellent care instructions. Great work by a great surgeon and great team. My thanks to everyone!
