I have had ongoing issues with Westlake Dermatology Georgetown regarding appointment scheduling (rude staff btw). Despite multiple attempts to communicate via email and text about scheduling concerns, the office has failed to provide proper appointment confirmations, respond to inquiries, or answer phone calls. Most notably, I was recently charged a $200 no-show fee for two appointments, despite my repeated efforts to confirm and manage my appointments with them. The only time I was ever able to successfully schedule an appointment was when I physically walked into the office and scheduled it in person. Their system does not send appointment confirmations, and their staff is unresponsive. When I brought these issues to the office manager’s attention, she refused to waive the fees, insisting that I had missed the appointments—even though I have emails proving my attempts to resolve scheduling confusion, along with a complete lack of appointment confirmations via text. The office only sent a confirmation after I spoke with them in person, further proving the flaw in their system. I never intentionally missed an appointment, and I find it unacceptable that they refuse to take accountability for their poor scheduling system and lack of customer service. Their disregard for clients is frustrating, and their refusal to acknowledge these flaws has cost me unnecessary fees. I have attached screenshots showing that I never received appointment confirmations, reminders, or responses to my outreach attempts. Additionally, I have included an email in which I attempted to contact them about scheduling and the need to come into the office to handle these issues in person. Their failure to properly manage their system directly led to these missed appointments, and I believe I should be reimbursed for these unjust charges. If the office manager had taken the time to understand the situation, I would still be a customer. Instead, they have demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism and concern for their patients. I request a full refund of the $200 I was charged due to their flawed system and lack of communication.
It's really a shame how much this place has gone downhill in recent years. I had the worst facial service ever yesterday by Karina. To start, the front office had my name wrong? That was weird. Anyway, Karina was 15 minutes late for my Diamond Glow Facial. She never once introduced herself to me, I only learned her name as I was checking out and speaking to the front office attendant about my service. I had told her it was my first one ever, and she proceeded to not tell me ANYTHING about the treatment, what steps she was doing and when, what products were being applied to my face, nothing. I had no clue what was happening. We were silent the entire time. She had an extremely sassy attitude when I asked her for a headband to tie my hair back (pretty sure this is standard for any facial service?) She told me and I quote "this is not like a spa we don't do that." I felt like I was getting a physical at the physicians office. THEN all of a sudden I hear her say "you're all set!" and I honestly laughed a little as I thought she was then trying to be friendly and fun. Nope, she wasn't kidding. She tried to cut my entire treatment to NO JOKE 15 minutes only, after being 15 minutes late. It was the absolute worst service I've ever received and they charge $200 for it. Most importantly, she never asked if I was pregnant or breastfeeding, which I am, and proceeded to apply any products to my face without making sure. I took it up with the front office staff of course and most of them were kind and understanding, however the spa manager, who also did not introduce herself kept saying "yea I'm so sorry." Ok...she kept saying I'll need to speak with Karina again about my experience which didn't make sense but I said OK. After lots of waiting and another manager I guess coming to speak to me, Karina never showed face. The only helpful person was a blond woman who also did not introduce herself to me, she simply offered 20% off my service and to make sure I receive treatment from someone different the next time. I will not be coming back again.
I had an amazing experience at Westlake Dermatology! The building itself is absolutely beautiful, creating a welcoming and calming atmosphere from the moment you walk in. Dr. Nikolaidis is incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything in detail, making sure I felt confident and informed. His nurse, Taylor, was also extremely helpful and kind throughout the process—thank you, westlake dermatology team for making me feel completely comfortable during my procedure. The entire team is professional, caring, and truly goes above and beyond. Highly recommend!
Taylor T. has been my nurse for everything I have gotten done! She is incredibly knowledgeable and comforting. I was very nervous at first, but she walked me through everything and made me feel so good through the whole process. I wasn’t entirely sure about everything I wanted done, but dr. Nikolaidis and Taylor made the best suggestions and truly talked me through every step to make sure I was happy and comfortable. I recommend that duo x10000
Edit: Had a lovely chat with Lizzie the manager and explained my view of things. After dealing with eczema for 15 years I was expecting a bit more compassion and detailed explanation of options and didn’t receive that. It caused the out of place feeling to be magnified. Lizzie was very apologetic and almost made me give them another chance. Edit edit: Had a lovely chat with Dr Hanson to figure out prescription problems and talk more in depth. She answered questions readily and made sure any thoughts or problems I had were addressed. While there could be more pamphlets or handouts for adult remedies, that’s not particularly Dr. Hanson’s fault. 5 stars for Dr. Hanson, 4 stars for the lack of presentation for options. Perhaps a tv or screen of some sort in the rooms to be able to go over prescription possibilities so there’s no confusion as to what’s going on would benefit them. Again, I assume that’s higher than everyone in the buildings pay grade but I hope this review helps. Would actually like to give them another chance. First Review: Dr. Miriam Hanson barely gave me the time of day. I would’ve had better customer service from a robot. If all I needed was a prescription then I would’ve gone somewhere else. I can’t believed this place has 4 stars. Maybe it’s only for people who need Botox or something done for lighter skinned folks. The best part was the check out people, they were helpful with a situation they’ve never had to deal with before.
