Jan of '25 had the MiraDry procedure, which claims to reduce underarm sweat and odor by up to 80% in one procedure of microwaving the pits. After 4 hours of numbing and nuking I left with a couple of thoughts. I called back in and requested the doc call me in the next few days as time permits, no rush at all, which I was told he would. A few minutes later they called me back and asked what it was about and gave them some questions, but that wasn't the entire reason I wanted to talk. What I was going to tell him in-person was that the techs (I believe all college students, one was brand new) who numbed me, placed the marker stencil, and did the procedure, probably didn't execute as planned. After two hours of very painful needle numbing they placed the stencil and started the procedure. During the end of the first arm I quickly realized they were nuking my lat about two inches below where the hair ended and it was scorching hot. I pushed through and didn't say anything. The second go around I actually had to stop the procedure because the pain was excruciating, again because they were so far below where they had numbed it. I realized they placed the stencil too far south and flat vs concave where my hair actually grows. Before the procedure was done I asked if they could do the top part that they didn't touch since I was already numb (no one would want to sit through those 100+ needle pins again, plus it's 4 hours of time lost). They said no but I could come back in and have the procedure done again at a reduced cost. This was pretty frustrating as I know they could have made it happen, if they wanted to since no one was scheduled to come in after me. A month later you can visually see the area that has significantly less hair growth and the areas that were not touched at all. Overall, I would say sweat has been reduced by 30%, though it's tough to know for sure since this is the middle of winter. I've had a few full-blown hurricane Harvey encounter twice now so I'm not too optimistic about summer. Summarized: the doc never came in, not to check the placement of the stencil or to see how things were going. I requested a private conversation to tell him these things but I guess it wasn't worth his time, so here we are. Hopefully learning lessons for the next patients. Everyone was nice so 4 stars there. Value for the results is 3 but not being able to speak to the doctor and no follow-up is a 2. Averages out to 3 stars.

I ABSOLUTELY love Dr. Rude and office staff. They were all so helpful and nice. I had a surgery today and Dr. Rude called to check on me after hours. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

I cannot recommend Dr Rude and his staff more. I have had the best experience with my tummy tuck, breast lift and implants. I have never had surgery or even stitches so I was extremely nervous about the entire process. They have been the most kind and caring staff, extremely professional and wonderful throughout the entire process. I am very happy with my results!

Dr. Rude and his staff were beyond amazing! I was so nervous about my surgery... but Dr. Rude answered all my questions and concerns. His office staff and nurses were so helpful and so kind from the first day I walked in the door til this day. I highly recommend meeting with Dr. Rude and see for yourself how awesome he is along with his team. Stay local... he’s worth it!!
